BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

I groaned as I felt around my bedside table searching for my alarm clock to turn it off. I leaned over a little too far and rolled off the bed with a thud. I whined as I stood to my feet and shut off my alarm. Ugh. Why can't school start until like 3:30? I slouched to the bathroom with my eyes halfway closed. Thinking I was gonna be able to get into the bathroom immediately, I ended up door-to-forehead with the closed bathroom door. I groaned again and rubbed my sore forehead. God, why am I so clumsy this morning.

I started banging on the door with my fist. "Natalia, get out of the bathroom!!"

"You can wait!" She shouted back. I rolled my eyes.

"I only have 30 minutes to get ready! Well 29 now because you're wasting my time!"

"I'm almost done!" I sighed and sat on the cushion bench next to the bathroom. 5 minutes later, my sister came out of the bathroom, fully dressed and showered.

"Bathroom's all yours," she smiled. Ugh, she irks me. I took a quick shower, slipped into my yellow and blue cheerleader uniform, put my hair up into a sock bun, slapped on some light makeup, and slipped on my low-top yellow Converse before grabbing my things and heading downstairs. Today's the big game or whatever so all cheerleader's have to wear their uniforms to show "school spirit" I guess. But I don't mind flaunting around school in my blue and yellow pencil skirt that makes my ass look FANTASTIC.

I entered the kitchen and surprisingly my mom was gone. I guess she had to leave early for work. Maybe dad is showering. I popped some waffles in the microwave and went to the fridge to get orange juice. Yes, I use the microwave to make waffles stop fucking judging me I can feel you fucking judging me stop. I took my waffles out and squirted syrup on them and began eating.

"Girls!" I heard my dad call out.

"I'm in here daddy!" My dad's tall suited figure entered the kitchen and he smiled.

"Morning, pumpkin," he kissed my forehead before searching the cupboards for some breakfast.

"Morning, daddy. Where's mom?"

"She had an early shift today. She'll be home before you girls make it from school."

"Daddy, the game is tonight," I reminded him as I put my dishes in the sink. My phone vibrated on the counter indicating that I got a text message. I checked it and it was Christina telling me that she was outside.

"Oh yeah. Lets go Hawks!!" I giggled and hugged him before getting my stuff.

"Bye daddy, Christina's outside," before I could head for the front door, my dad stopped me by putting both of his hands on my shoulders.

"Now Nevaeh, come straight home after the game. Do you understand me? No parties, dates, sleepovers. Only school, practice, and then the game. Got that?"

I nodded and smiled innocently. He returned the smile and kissed my forehead before I headed out the door.

I walked into the building with Christina and Ciera on either of my sides. They both had on their uniforms as well. We instantly got hoots and hollers from passing guys, and envious looks from girls. I pretended like I was ignoring them and continued strutting to my locker.

"Um, actually guys I'm gonna go find Craig so I'll catch up with y'all later," Christina said and turned the corner to a different hallway. I raised an eyebrow as I watched her walk away. Her and Craig rarely hang out during school. What makes today so different? I pushed the thought away and put in my combination.

"Ready for the big game?" Ciera smiled and I scoffed.

"It's only a football game," I got my books and closed my locker, beginning to walk to class. Ciera linked her arm through mine.
