Ruby frowned as he looked around the forest. He thought he heard someone crying, but he couldn't find them. He wandered around a little bit more before he heard the tears again. He followed them until he found a girl panicking. The most he could catch with a quick glance was (H/C) hair and (F/O). He went over and touched her shoulder. She looked up, her (E/C) eyes met his bright red ones as tears kept falling from them.

"Are you ok, Ma'am?" She trembled before wiping her face.

"No... my pokemon fainted and I'm scared to move after a powerful pokemon tried to attack me..." He hummed before gently grabbing her bag and picking her up.

"Come on... I know the way back and I'll get you to the center. I'll protect you." The girl blushed a little before nodding as he headed back to the city.

He did, indeed, protect her. The powerful pokemon, in which was discovered to be a Mightyena, tried again to hurt the girl. That wasn't allowed as he sent Feefee and took it out instantly. The girl was surprised by his power before they got to the center.

He waited until she was better when he checked in on her again. She and her (F/P) were cuddling off to the side when she saw him.

"Thank you so much for the help!" He nodded before he petted her pokemon.

"Keep her safe." It did a little cry before the two trainers giggled and he left.

Bonus scene!

(Y/N) discovered her savior's identity an interesting way. A group of fangirls gave him up.

"Ruby himself saved a girl in Petalburg Woods!"

"Wait... you mean the son of the famous gym leader Norman and the greatest Contest expert in Hoenn!? Saved someone in Petalburg Woods!?"

"I know right!? I got to talk to her! He must've not told her and she didn't know who he was cause she was confused about it!"

(Y/N)'s face was a little red as she thought about what happened. A famous person, one that was well known in Hoenn, had just saved her. She would not only never hear the end of it, but it would sit in her heart for a while.
