An adult elf named Oscar travels from one kingdom to another with his trusted aide and scout by his side, who is an Owl named Arthur. A prophet predicted Oscar as the future king of all elves, once he found the Crystal Ball that is going to aid him in his promotion to King Elf. As of now, Oscar is a normal elf that has been training for decades for his special day to come. A day where he can inherit the superpowers that are supposed to be bestowed upon him and when he becomes an Elvish Archdruid, a powerful elf that controls an empire of elves.

Arthur was given to Oscar by his parents when he was young so that he could have a pet to accompany him. When his parents died

They traveled far and wide, in a search of a Crystal Ball that can help him inherit the powers as the prophecy had said. Both of them would mostly stay in the woods as there are not a lot of people to disturb them. But on some occasions, they sought shelter in the nearby kingdoms that they come across, depending on the situation, and in most kingdoms, they are as chaotic as the last as the elves are in a riot without the supervision of their King Elf.

The current King Elf is not capable of handling all of the elves as he has not inherited the said powers. The whole empire thinks that the prophecy is fake as there was not one King Elf that has any superpowers. And so, every elf laughed upon Oscar and Arthur as they have mentioned that they are in a journey, in search of the Crystal Ball. "Ha! You're already in your thirties and you're still in a search for it while training? You must have a hole in your brain to believe that prophecy. Just give up already!" An elf proclaimed.

Oscar did not mind the criticisms thrown at him as he believed in his heart that this Crystal Ball existed somewhere deep into the dangers of the world. He has no direction but he follows where the wind goes because that is the only thing that is giving him a hint towards where the Crystal Ball is hidden.

Along their journey, they encountered a lot of mishaps where danger was laid upon them. During the day, there are evil, wicked people trying to rob the elderly elf when they saw that he was different from them. Oscar deals with them by knocking them out in a brawl and continued his journey every time. When night comes by, he would go out with Arthur to hunt for food and roast it at a campsite that they would set up.

One day, he encountered a boy looking all dirty and hungry. The boy was trying to steal Oscar's food! The child looked to be around 7 years of age and all he was wearing was a sack to cover his body.

Oscar stopped him by calling out to him with his deep voice, "Child, what you're doing is not noble." The boy paid him no heed as he brought the food to his mouth and gobbled on it. Oscar took pity and cooked more food for the boy that appeared to be very hungry.

"Child, what is your name? Where are your parents? Why are you all alone in the woods?" Oscar asked a series of questions. The child looked at him with his big watery eyes and he replied, "My name is Samuel and my parents died in the hands of the elves during the riot. I was able to get away from it scratch-free because I was out doing errands. After I found out about their deaths, I ran away from our home. I can't stay in that place as it is filled with silence, one that I cannot withstand. I have a big brother but he is currently in another kingdom, working. I thought that I could find him by running off towards the direction that he always took whenever he left us for the year. But I was mistaken as the world outside the kingdom existed with vast of trees."

And then, water droplets splattered on the food that Samuel was eating, and Oscar looked at his face only to find out that the boy was crying. Oscar gave him a piece of handkerchief and asked, "Why are you crying, Samuel?"

"I miss my parents so much. They'd do anything to keep me comfortable." Samuel kept his head down and sobbed loudly. "Child, would you like to join me on my journey? I am in search of something special, something that would help me and the people."

"How can I trust you when you might be one of them? You look exactly like them especially your ears."
