"Hey, I can see that you're a bit more okay now. How are you feeling? Your Owl may look like he's healed but he still needs to recover for a few days. Other than that, he is fine now compared to earlier." It was Jake. He walked towards Oscar and sat down beside him.
"I also want to apologize for being impulsive as I thought you kidnapped my brother because our parents have been killed by an elf while being caught in the middle of the chaos back in the kingdom." He pulled up his hands in front of him and showed Oscar a small piece of paper.
"What's this?" Oscar took the paper and read the contents of it.
"Chant it in front of the Tree of Life and you might get your wish granted. I heard that you were looking for a Crystal Ball in your journey. I thought that this might help you." Oscar gave him a look of gratitude and asked the location of the Tree of Life.
Jake led Oscar through a series of pathways and they end up standing in front of an empty-looking place, with green vines hanging from trees. 'This may be the entrance of the so-called Tree of Life.' Thought Oscar...
That is when Jake waved his hand and a cave appeared right before them. "If you can see it, it must be that you're fated to end up here, right in this spot. Go on in when you're ready."
Oscar took a deep breath and walked inside. After a few minutes of walking through the dark eerie-looking cave, a light suddenly blinded him and what he saw can be described as a mystical world.
Like the place he woke up in earlier, it could be said that they almost looked the same but, in this cave, the pink vines glowed with life, as if they are holding energy inside them. The largest thing that could be spotted inside the cave is the tall statue of a woman, looking similar to Jake. He thought that it must have been their queen.
He took out the piece of paper that he was clenching in his palm. He read what was written in the paper and recited them with deep emotions.
Nothing happened after he waited for a few seconds. When he saw that there was nothing, he then turned around intending to leave the place. However, a field of force stopped him from exiting the cave. He turned back towards the statue, only to see it glowing brightly with the pink vines standing and dancing around.
He could not believe his eyes! What he saw was his most awaited moment. A crystal ball came out from the glowing light and he reached out his palm towards it. The Crystal Ball then slowly drifted through the air and into his palm.
But what made him even more astonished was that the Crystal Ball integrated into his palm. He blinked his eyes, only to see that the Crystal Ball is gone and he felt a little bit different.
After a few seconds, a series of information suddenly stormed into his brain, all about superpowers, their use, how to wield them, and so on. A splitting headache came over Oscar and he was grasping his head, trying to bear all the pain, only to feel a soft touch of a hand, patting his head.
He suddenly felt relief and his headache was gone. All the information that he obtained was retained too. When he took a step forward, he suddenly felt that the pain on his calf was gone too. 'This must be the healing prowess of the goddess...'
...
When Oscar came out of the cave, he saw Jake squatting over a rock and that is when Jake noticed that he came out of the cave. "How was it? Did you get anything? If not, it is fine as there are not a lot who succeeded in the past." He suddenly noticed Oscar's leg.
"Your leg. It's healed!" Oscar merely nodded.
"I have already found what I've always searched and trained for my entire life." Oscar smiled at him and expressed his gratitude.
"Well, would you like to stay for dinner?" Jake already has a good impression of Oscar so he wanted Oscar to stay especially since he took care of his little brother.
However, Oscar declined his invitation, "I'm sorry but I have to get back to my hometown to fix the chaos that the elves have done. I want to solve it as soon as possible to not have any more casualties in the future."
"Alright then, I shall see you off for when you leave."
...
At the entrance of the Pandora, the place where all the Avatars are gathered, there stood Jake, Samuel, and Oscar with Arthur on his backpack, bathing underneath the rays of the sunset.
"Master! I'll miss you!" Samuel gave Oscar a bear hug, unwilling to let go. "Now, now, Samuel. He needs to go. His empire needs him."
Oscar bent down to Samuel's level and comforted him, "I promise that I'll be back soon. I just have to fix the mess that my kind has made all over the different kingdoms, okay?" Samuel nodded sadly.
"I shall have my leave. Thank you everyone for your help and kind hospitality." Oscar turned and left without looking back.
