He fastened his pace towards Oscar and bent down near him. "Master, how did this happen? Who hurt you?"

Sweat beads rolled down Samuel's worried face. "Don't worry child, it's a small injury that can be fixed with just a few items that I have with me."

Samuel remained mum towards Oscar's reassurance and took a closer look at Oscar's injury. "Master, we should cut the arrow on both ends so that it won't be hard to remove the stick that is penetrating your leg."

"Alright then," He pulled out several items from his bag and had Samuel hold the arrow still while he cut the arrow on both ends by using a pair of scissors. He then grabbed a cloth and wrapped it around the stick, right on top of the wound so that he could stop the bleeding when he pulled out the stick.

After slowly pulling out the stick, he then grabbed some healing herbs to apply it on his wound and took another cloth to wrap around his calf. "This should be good for now. Samuel, can you grab that stick for me?"

With a stick as his cane, he can walk around now. Then, a piece of paper fell from the sky. It read, "Return the boy and I will leave your corpse in one piece."

Oscar looked around bewilderedly only to see a silhouette pass by from the sky. Knowing that he was being watched, he took a pen and wrote down a few words on the back of the paper, and left it on the ground.

Arthur came back with the news that the group has left without leaving a trace. And in a small distance, there is a vacant farmhouse.

The three of them decided to seek shelter as Oscar is currently injured. The two trudged to the direction of the farmhouse while Arthur flew in circles above their head. Slowly, their surroundings changed into a field of tall grass and Samuel made way for Oscar to step on without hurting his leg.

...

The wind wisped through the air, making the grass sway along. The sound of grass being stepped on can be heard as Oscar and Samuel made their way through the field. With the afternoon heat, the two figures are soon covered in sweat and their clothes slowly got soaked.

This also worsened Oscar's injury. They quickened their pace until finally, got out of the field of grass and they saw the farmhouse.

As they loosen their tension in being out in the open for so long, a figure suddenly shot down from the sky. What they saw in front of them made their eyes bulge. It was a ten-foot-tall blue creature with long braided hair, elven ears, skin so soft and looking like a skin of a tiger with its tail wagging behind the creature.

"I'm sure you've heeded my warning, elf. Give me the child." A profound voice resounded the area with a hint of authority hidden deep within. The Avatar thumped his spear against the ground to show his readiness for battle.

Samuel just ogled at the Avatar, as if trying to remember something by looking at it and that is when it hit him.

"It's him! It's him!" Oscar looked at Samuel and a thought hit him. 'It must be the guy who killed the parents of this poor child'

"I won't give him to you! I will only allow it over my dead body!" A sword suddenly appeared in his hand, allowing him to attack his opponent without them noticing! "No! Master! You've misunderstood!" The child tried to hold on to Oscar but he already left his spot in a blink of an eye.

With a single swift moment, Oscar got to scratch the Avatar on the face with his sword. The Avatar just touched his face only to flinch a bit from the stinging pain and looked at his fingers to witness blood.

He turned to glare at Oscar and sneered at him, "Oh, so you want to have a duel with me while you're injured?"

"If that means that you'll leave the child alone, then so be it." Oscar moved fast but then he accidentally strained a muscle in his injured calf and that got him to bend over.

"NO! STOP! PLEASE DON'T HURT HIM!" Samuel tried to stop them from fighting but it was no use. The Avatar had a glint in his eye the moment he saw Oscar bending over and shot forward to attack him. "YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE KIDNAPPED MY LITTLE BROTHER! ARE YOU THAT BORED TO EVEN KIDNAP AN INNOCENT CHILD?"
