You and Loki exchanged looks, clearing your throat before beginning to speak. "Well you see, I was wondering if you would allow me to host a party here." You cringed as the words came out of your mouth. Loki chuckled, making fun of your lack of confidence. You elbowed Loki without breaking eye contact with Tony and waited patiently for his response. "Ow." Loki whispered as he winced, covering the rib you had hit.
Tony grabbed his chin in thought for a moment before speaking. "Don't get me wrong, I'm always up for a party, but what's the occasion?" He cocked an eyebrow. "Well, I thought I'd organize a party as a form of gratitude to you and all of the Avengers for helping Thor. Plus, I know you guys haven't gotten together in a while to just hang out and have fun. Don't you think you guys would have a good time?" You smiled shyly. Tony's lips formed into a smirk. He chuckled to himself for a brief moment and then began.
"It was actually a couple years ago, you know, the last time we did something like that. Tell you what, I'll say yes with one condition, we are gonna have to play a game of my choosing at some point of the night. Deal?" Tony stuck out his hand to you, his eyebrows raised and a smirk on his lips as he waited for you to shake his hand.
You were a little skeptical about the look he was giving you as he stuck out his hand, but you shrug it off and thought, What's the worse thing that could happen? If anything it'll make the night more fun!
"Deal!" You smiled, shaking his hand. Tony chuckled to himself, letting go of your hand. You turned to look at Loki who gave you a skeptical look, as if you shouldn't have shaken Tony's hand. "Alright, if that is all you needed, then the lounge area is all yours to make your own for the evening." Tony said, bringing your attention back to him. "If you'll excuse me, I have things I need to finish before the big party tonight! See you later" Tony winked, signaling you and Loki to leave his laboratory and begin preparations.
You and Loki made your way back into the corridors and towards the elevator that you had both gone up in together. You skipped excitedly, Loki slowly following behind you, concern was present in his expression. You turned back to look at him, your mood now turning into concern for the god as you examined his face. "What is it Loki?" You asked approaching him. He snapped out of thought and looked at you. 'Do you know what Seven minutes in heaven is?"
You were now the confused one. "Where did you hear that?" Loki furrowed his eyebrows and looked at the floor as he began to speak, as to try and remember so he could explain. "Back in Tony's lab, whenever he mentioned that he would only let you host the party tonight if you played a game of his choice..." He paused for a moment. "The phrase 'Seven minutes in heaven' appeared in his mind whenever he was talking about the game."
"Maybe that's the name of the game that he wants to play tonight." you shrugged. Loki kept on walking and you followed him along. "Possibly. But it just sounds... mischievous." Loki raised an eyebrow. You burst out in laughter. "You would know." You teased. Loki turned to look at you with a playful smile. "I would."
The both of you laughed as you continued walking and entered the elevator. "Now, to find the lounge area." You smiled innocently at Loki. "Ugh, not this again." Loki groaned. "Oh come on! we just gotta ask peter again like last time, I bet he'd like to help organize this anyways." You responded, pulling out your phone to text him. "The little Spider? is he your child now or something?" Loki raised an eyebrow. "No, he's fun to be around and we need the extra help to make this happen." Loki rolled his eyes. "If you insist." You sent peter the message and saw that he immediately read it and was now typing his response. "It is as if he was waiting for someone to call out to him." Loki chuckled as he was peeking over your shoulder. You formed your lips into a line and once again elbowed the god in the ribs. Loki winced. "You have got to stop doing that!" He hissed. "And you need to stop provoking me." You rolled your eyes.
A message from Peter popped up on your screen, letting you know where to meet him. You replied to the message and put your phone away, now pressing one of the elevator buttons. " He wants us to meet him on the first floor." You said, Loki still rubbing his ribs but now trying to compose himself into his usual posture. "Alright then."
The elevator slowly made its way down to the first floor, the doors sliding open to reveal Peter standing right in front of the elevator with a dorky smile on his face. "Hi!" He beamed. "Hi Peter!" You smiled while Loki just blankly stood there. "So... how may I be of assistance?" Peter said raising his eyebrows and crossing his arms in front of his chest. "Well.... I was wanting to organize a party tonight in the lounge area as a form of thank you to everyone for helping out Thor and just so that everyone can have a little fun before we get started with the big project. We already got approval from Tony, but we need your help to one, find the lounge area and two, just with whatever else you want to help out with since this is very short notice."
"Dude no way! That is awesome! I would love to help! And pfffff, of course I can show you where the lounge area is. It's the very top floor." Peter said walking into the elevator with a closed smile and clasping his hands together in front of him, settling inside the elevator in between you and Loki. "Up we go!" He said pressing the elevator button to the top floor and the elevator doors closing.
