20|Another yeehaw???

...And yeah, that party was amazing.

The party answered plenty of questions and over-all satisfied the whole team.

Lester Averman has decided to not go fancy, its a simple party with friends, not a party for The Queen. His choice of clothing is a brown sweater, baggy light jeans with sneakers. Simple.

Meeting up with Jesse and Goldberg he is soon told that Dwayne has a surprise to show everyone at the party. Jesse explains that the cowboy was overly excited for this.

Probably to announce his engagement with Cassie, Les thinks, half-joking.

The party starts in about an hour and Goldberg really wanted to decorate the Gym a bit. Charlie, Adam and Fulton where in charge of the food, Jesse and Luis brought some entertainment(card-games, board-games, etc.), Julie and Connie brought a few movie ideas and a projector to watch the movies on. Guy and Cassie were the chosen ones to help Dwayne with his surprise. Apparently, this surprise is really big and special to the cowboy.  

The party has started and the 3 Musketeers still haven't shown up yet. But everyone is hanging out and having fun either way. 

Les was playing Nickel with Fulton, Luis, and Connie and he was so close to winning, but suddenly the others had no interest in the game anymore. Their attention was set on the Gym entrance. Les turned over to see what the fuss was about, mumbling, "what's more important than me winning?" under his breath. Once his eyes caught with Cassie's, he realized the surprise was here. Dwayne's surprise. Finally! 

His eyes quickly scanned Dwayne's arms to see the surprise he must be holding, only to see them wrapped around a girl. 

"Hey yall! Meet my girlfriend, Maddie."

Oh, cool. 

Wait wHAT!?

Lester's eyes quickly went back to Cassie's, shock and a bit of relief showing in his green eyes.

"So- you and Cassie aren't.. engaged?" Les' asked, almost in a squeaky voice.

"Why the hell would we date, Averman?" Cassie replies with an eye roll as her, Guy, Maddie, and Dwayne start to walk to the rest of the team.

"Oh thank God!" Les.

"Are you 'bout to faint, Averman?" Jesse.

"Nuh uh." He replies as he gets up, grabbing Cassie's hand and dragging her out to the hallway.

"Um, listen. I- I'm sorry for ignoring you for a while. See, I thought you and Dwayne liked each other and were dating and I got jealous and scared, so my best idea was to push you away to not get my feelings hurt. And I've been wanting to tell you but its such a scary thing to do, especially when I'm thinking you were dating-" Les mumbled an explanation as his face grew red. Cassie stood listening with her arms crossed on her chest. 

"So, you got jealous and started ignoring because what? Because you like me or something?" She knew he did, but she wanted to hear him say it. 

He does.

"Yeah..."

A grin spread through her face, not that Les could see it as he was looking off to the side, embarrassed. Once he looked over, he saw her face. Is this a good sign? 

"As heartbreaking as this is, Averman, I like you too." Cassie finally said, with a tinge of sarcasm and an eye roll to match her grin.

Well there it is folks, the last real chapter! I cannot believe it! Thank yall for reading this book. It was very fun to write. I hoped you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

There will be an epilogue!! Just a little fluff for ya.
