A:N: Okay! Listen up! There will be bloody scenes, threat, violence, negative thoughts, and Hide's need to see Kaneki again if you don't want extra feels. But a lovely reunited scene in the end. Enjoy!

Hide walks down the narrow pathway in the darkness, his warm winter coat wrapped around his frail body, freezing in the cold weather. His focus was on the ground, his smoky breath flowing with the winds direction. The street was calm, only a few people walking past, here and there. And the only thing Hide can hear is the soft breeze, flickering lights, and his own foot steps crunching against the snowy ground.

It has been a long and exhausting day for him, being in college. He hadn't been catching up with his work since Kaneki had been missing. It's been affecting him and his partnerships with everyone in his life, but what can he do? Wait until your best friend comes back? No.

Hide wants to find Kaneki. Tell him how much he misses him, how much he needs him. And especially how long he's known about what happened to him. Turning into a ghoul because of that girl he went out with. Rize, was it?

Hide sighs.

He should've known. He should've told him not to go. But what was he to judge? Rize was pretty and beautiful. And obviously Kaneki saw his type in her, just reading that certain book he was reading. How convenient. Huh?

All Hide wants is to have Kaneki back.

Back into his life.

That's all he wants.

But it's so hard trying to find someone who doesn't want to be found.

Hide sighs again.

All of this, the situation he was in, what Kaneki was in, has been making him go crazy. He cant stop thinking about him. Is he safe? Is he in danger? Is Kaneki even capable of protecting himself? From ghouls? He doesn't know. All he knows is Kaneki is out there, somewhere, being this new profound ghoul everyone has been talking about, Eyepatch, right? Heh. Guess he was styling it up. Huh? That ridiculous white eyepatch of his.

"Heh." laughed Hide. The thought of seeing Kaneki again made his stomach twist with sadness and need. He needs to see him again. Just with his funny eyepatch on his eye, his smile widening when he would visit Antieku, the thought of seeing him reading that silly old book again for the fifth utmost time. Hide smiled at the thought.

Walking around a corner, the air gets colder and milder, his skin crawls with goose bumps, covering his entire body, and making him think twice about turning back. He knew this corner looks quite displeasing, but Hide couldn't care less at the moment. His mind was in a daze of winding thoughts, all concealing and covering him from the world outside. So he keeps walking.

The more deeper he walks the more uneasiness he feels in his gut. It's typically squirming for him to turn back, but his brain made his body go forward. He couldn't stop.

So, he kept walking.

The dim light from the outside dies down by the growing darkness surrounding Hide, his head swirling and spinning with questions. He cant stop thinking about him, still. He's been gone for so many months. So many. He couldn't think straight anymore. Until he heard a fast pace of feet go past, like an electric shock coursing though his body.

He stops.

Crap. What the?

Hide stays exactly where he is. Not moving a single muscle in his body.

Is someone watching him? Crap. He should probably go back. Where other people are walking in a local street or something. Crap, crap, crap. Shit!
