A;N: Sorry for being such an asshole and leaving you this late update! Trust me, at least 50 things happened in life, everything went shit crazy and I think my feet are doing this weird cracking thing from walking around too much! Anyway, I'm not sure about this one, but I enjoyed writing this so read on and enjoy!

Hide sat in the cold, silent room with only a bottle of water and a packet of crisps in front of him. His heart was racing rapidly as his nerves were starting to shack up on him again.

He couldn't think, or even breathe properly. He's so nervous he could poop out confetti. That was hardly going to happen, but that was the feeling of being nervous over something. Something so big he can hardly handle it. He's been waiting for this moment for so long; he couldn't possess the thought. But it was finally happening to him. He was finally going to see Kaneki again.

Hide thought back to the last time he saw him, it was at the battle field between ghouls and humans when Hide and Kaneki finally saw each other again after so many months. It was when Hide was in a terrible state after being attacked by a ghoul and being carried away by Kaneki to the CCG. Hide always wondered what actually happened that night, but he wasn't informed about anything else when he woke up in the hospital. But he did find out something else though.

Kaneki was taken away from him. Again.

And what came after was worse.

They took away his memories, too. Everything! Even Hide.

After a couple of months lying on a bed, recovering from a coma and being fully looked after by great people, Hide was fit and able enough to go back into the real world, his typical, real world. That was when he had a phone call last week from the CCG, asking him if he wanted to visit someone close to him. And by that, he knew who they were taking about, so he said yes.

And now, here he is.

He probably won't even remember him, though. Heck. He could careless to remember Hide. After everything that has happened to him, why would he want to remember? Hide can at least try to explain to him what happened, because Kaneki- uh Haise, does remember some of his memories which came back. Only small bits, though. But how would he react if he found about who he was?

Hide didn't know.

But at least he can finally see him again, after so many months.

The door knob clicks, a man in a suit and tie walks into the room, a serious look on his pale, triangular face. He looked about 30, and quite tall. He glares at Hide with small, brown eyes, "Mr Hideyoshi. Mr Arima would like to see you now."

Hide quickly looks up, staring at the man for a long time. "Oh right. Okay." He takes a deep breath, leaving his bottle of water and crisps behind, he stands up and walks over to the door.

Hide and the man walk silently down the straight corridor, the atmosphere gets tense as Hide can now feel his throat opening and closing, making it hard for him to breathe. His heart pounds faster the closer he gets to Arima's office, which was only down the hall. The sight of the door gets closer and closer each time he took a step, making Hide feel even more nervous.

This was happening. He was going to see his best friend again, the one person who he could always relay on, the one person who was always read a book and drinks coffee, the one person who he cares most about. He was taken away by ghouls and inspectors and other people who either used him or protected him. He could've saved him. He could've left straight away with him, telling him about what he felt and how he wanted him to come back with him. But obviously, he was attacked. He couldn't do anything. But all Hide wanted was to see his best friend again, his smile when he cracked a joke or just seeing his face brighten at the sight of him.
