Before we begin, I would like to get this out of the way. This was not just my idea, in fact, it was a joint effort between me and a good friend of mine; Half-Blood-Hazbin. Two of their OCs make their appearances here (as I have rights to use them).
Please go check them out, they make very interesting characters. It combines the concept of digimon with Yu-Gi-Oh duel monsters. I've touched up on some things to make it more interesting.
1. The D-Ark instead of the D-Tectors in our original AU are going to be used.
2. As one of the creators, I will allow people to use this AU and make something with their own OC out of it.
3. The story functions similar to Digimon, just with a few added rules and gimmicks.
- You can only summon Digimon at an lower or equal level to your partner Digimon.
EDIT TO THIS RULE: It's less of a definite rule and more of a suggestion. We've both agreed that summoning Digimon who are higher level than your own partner can do a toll on the bodies of both the Tamer and the Digimon who use their own energy to summon it.
- You'll noticed DP is mentioned, and wonder why the partner digimon aren't instantly deleted from battle if hit by a digimon who's stronger than they are. The difference can be explained like this.
A partner digimon is real, it's living and breathing. It can legitimately die if it's pushed to it's limits due to the bond between humans and their digimon causing it to manifest as a real creature and not just data in a tangible form.
That's why the partner digimon can take harder hits than the summoned ally digimon from the tamer's decks.
- Your deck must have 50 cards.
- You need to have a D-ARK model to play.
- You lose the battle when your partner Digimon is defeated.
- Digivolution is temporary, and only occurs when a new level of bonding between partner Digimon and tamer is reached.
I'm only writing out digivolution scenes for debuts.
This combines dub and sub information, so please mind that.
