Raven looks at me like I'm insane "did the Luna live in the pack house with the alpha" Melinda asks and Raven nods before Melinda walks to the biggest building in the cluster and disappears and I grab ravens hand pulling her in the direction on that Melinda went "she really was your mom" she says quietly and I nod tears in my eyes and she pulls me to a stop and I look at her and she hugs me I melt into her embrace slightly as I hug her back "Alex!?" Melinda calls out from what I'm assuming is an office we walk in seeing a desk covered in dust and she's looking through paper and she finds a photo in the desk drawer a picture of my mom my dad me and my sister I couldn't have been more then 2 and my sister only looked a couple months old if that I smile grabbing it from her "keep it Alex" she says softly and Raven smiles Melinda grabs a stack of papers and a folder "I think I got everything we need from in here let's see if we can find your old room Alex or your parents" she said happily and I nod and me and Raven go looking around the place and me and her just talk and try to get to know each other "so your an alpha?" She asks shyly and I freeze am I an alpha I mean I must be if my mom was Luna so I guess how is that going to change when we get back home will they even let me back the alpha never really liked me and if he finds out then he might kick me out of the pack "I'm technically and alpha I guess but in my pack I'm an Omega." I say quietly looking at the floor "are you going to challenge your alpha for the title?" She asks softly looking at me and I shook my head "he might just kick me out of the pack when we get back he was never really happy the Luna spared me." I say quietly "wherever you go I follow" she says softly "I mean I'm already a rouge technically it can't get any worse then it is and at least this time I'll have my mate" she say getting quieter toward the end "and I'll protect you no matter what" I say softly kissing her forehead before walking into the only room we hadn't checked yet the walls were a pale yellow with some pictures hanging on the wall and my name was spelled out in red and black wooden letters on the wall and sky's name was spelled out in gold on the other side of the room "I think we found my old room" I say quietly looking around at the toys scattered around the floor the slight smell of blood lingering in the air even after all these years a pile of bones in the corner it looked like a wolf's form they must have been shifted when they died I see a stack of drawings on the small table in the middle of the room some I made some sky made I picked up one that said to Alex on it and I pick it up looking at it it was a picture of the family and it had soy messy writing at the bottom 'to the best big brother' I try to hold back the sob but fail and soon I can't control them I drop to my knees sobbing tears streaming down my face as Raven sits next to me hugging me tightly and I hug back not letting go of her she lets me cry not saying anything just being there after awhile I start hiccuping slightly as the tears dry up "thank you my love" I say quietly my voice cracking as I bury my face into Raven neck inhaling her scent like it would disappear any second "there's no need to thank me Alex" she says the way she says my name makes my heart flutter and in that moment I knew everything was going to be okay I stand pulling Raven with me setting her on her feet gently as I walk to the closet looking for a bag of some type and I put an old teddy bear and the drawing I found in it smiling slightly as I look at my beautiful mate "I think I'm ready to leave" I say smiling taking her hand in mine intertwining our fingers rubbing the back of her hand with my thumb. We walk to the front door of the old pack house where Melinda was waiting for us looking through the papers from the office I hum softly as we all walk back to the car I put the bag in the trunk with mine and melindas duffles and opened the back door for Raven before walking around getting in on the other side sliding in beside her grabbing her hand again gently kissing her knuckles and she blushes smiling cuddling into me slightly and she shivers and I grab my hoodie from the front seat pulling it over her head gently "there you go love" she blushes deeper hiding her face in my side as we cuddle the best we can in the backseat and I see Melinda smiling at us in the rearview mirror I hum to the song on the radio as Raven slowly falls asleep she ends up putting her head on my lap and I stroke her hair as she sleeps I wake her up when we stop for gas to go to the bathroom and get something to eat we all eat and get settled before we keep going "were going to stop for the night in the next town" Melinda says smiling at us as Raven leans back into me yawning "when was the last time you slept in a nice warm bed my love?" I ask softly and she looks down "the night before the pack was overrun." She says quietly my wolf whimpers quietly in the back of my mind my sweet little mate has been through so much "your okay now baby you can close your eyes until we get there" I saw softly as she nods slightly her eyes already closed I chuckle slightly I stroke her hair until I end up falling asleep I get woken up by Melinda gently shaking me "wake up Alex were here" she says gently I nod and gently get out being carful not to wake Raven I grab my bag and then come back and pick Raven up bridal style "I got you guys your own room but I'm right next door so no funny business" she says only half joking I roll my eyes as she leads me upstairs and she opens the door for me following me in as I set Raven on our bed and I turn around Melinda hands me the key to the room "thanks Mel" she smiles and so do I "happy birthday Alex you deserve to be happy" she says gently before turning and walking out. I figured Ill skip a shower right now and just lay down I take off my shirt and jeans changing into pj pants staying shirtless I pull the blanket over me and Raven as I cuddle into my mate falling asleep to the even sound of her heartbeat
