The Best Thing I Ever Did

It's been weeks since the conversation between Jeongyeon and Mr. Park happened. Jeongyeon has decided on which of the two options.

"Hi! I'm back!" Taehyung walks inside their condo and opens his arms widely to hug Jeongyeon.

"Hello. I missed you." Jeongyeon said and hugs him back.

"I missed you too." Taehyung said and kissed her in the lips.

A smack turns into longing-passionate kiss, but Jeongyeon stops kissing him back and turns around.

"Where are you going miss?" Taehyung asked and drops his luggage on the floor making a loud sound.

"Nowhere." Jeongyeon playfully said and smiles at him.

"Where are you- Ah!" Taehyung runs to her but Jeongyeon was surprisingly fast.

"You've been practicing huh?" Taehyung said and runs faster.

They were chasing each other for a whole minute until Jeongyeon gets tired and sat down on the couch.

"I'm coming for you." Taehyung walks slowly, tip toe-ing like an idiot. Jeongyeon looks at him with a smile plastered on her face.

"Rawr." Taehyung tickles Jeongyeon on her waist making her laugh non-stop.

"Oh god Taehyung! Sto- HAHAHAHHAHHA!" Jeongyeon laughs.

"Stop! It's bad for our baby-HAHAHAH" Jeongyeon abruptly said that made Taehyung stopped from tickling her.

He got frozen in his place. As if he stopped from functioning.

"What." Taehyung asked.

"I said stop." Jeongyeon said and watched his reaction change from sad to shocked to happiness.

"No.. After that." He pointed at her and tries to remember what jeongyeon said.

"Our.. baby?" Taehyung cleared.

"You mean yeontan?" Jeongyeon blinked twice before laughing.

"No, silly." Jeongyeon and squish his face using her left hand.

Taehyung stood up with his both hands covering his mouth. Jeongyeon laughed at him, she remember that this is how she also acted.

"Oh my god. For real?" Taehyung asked, Jeongyeon slowly nods while smiling.

"What." Taehyung covers his whole face and sat down beside her. Jeongyeon was shocked by his reaction. Is he happy? Is he sad? A little after, Taehyung's shoulders went shaking.

"Are you okay?" Taehyung nodded still covering his face. His ears were red.

"Do you not want the baby? Do you want me to-" Taehyung turns to her and shakes his head.

"No. I want it." He is crying at the same time smiling.

"I want you. I want both of you." Taehyung stated as he caress her hair and kiss her forehead after.

"I will never leave both of you." He said, full of sincere in his eyes. He stands up and started jumping around with excitement.

"I AM GONNA BE A FATHER!!!!!" Taehyung shouted at the top of his lungs. Jeongyeon laughs at his excitement, she didn't know this would make him so happy.

"FUCK! I'M GONNA BE A DAD." Taehyung shouted again with his hands up in the air.

"Hey, Sit down! The neighbors might hear you!" Jeongyeon warned, still smiling. Taehyung stops and walks to the door. Opens it and shouted

"GUYS I AM GONNA BE A FATHER!" Jeongyeon shakes her head at him while laughing.

"Are you sure you're gonna leave?" Tzuyu asked with puffy eyes while watching Jeongyeon pack her bags. Jeongyeon looks at her and sweetly smiles.

"I'm just temporarily leaving the group, I'm still your big sister." Jeongyeon said and hugs her.

"We're gonna miss you Jeongyeon." Dahyun said, tears falling down her eyes. Everyone is mostly crying about Jeongyeon. They're gonna miss her so much.

At the end of the day, they all went to a private restaurant to have their last dinner as nine members of the group. Jeongyeon might be leaving the industry for a year, but in their hearts. She will remain.

"Bye unnie."

"Call us."

"I love you Jeongyeon-ie."

"Come back please?"

"I will." Jeongyeon replied to them. Jeongyeon waves her hands to the 8 girls crying with puffy eyes.

"I will surely miss you guys, and I'm just down town. I will visit you guys."

As they wave their hands to Jeongyeon leaving with her expensive ass car, her phone rings.

"Hello?" Jeongyeon answered.

"Where are you? It's almost 10 pm." He asked with a strict and irritated voice.

"I just came from our dinner." She answered and stopped when the red light turned.

"Our?" He asked.

"Yeah. It was so fun." She teased and stops herself from laughing.

"Jeongyeon." With just him calling her name, she got chills all over her body.

"Just kidding! I was with the girls." She said and turn right instead of left since she is now living in his condo.

"Alright. Be safe, hon. I love you"

"I will. I love you too." She said and focused on the road.

Thankfully she arrived at Taehyung's condo safely. She caught him sleeping on the couch with a little teddy bear on his hand like as if he was holding a baby. Was he practicing how to hold a baby? Jeongyeon smiles and woke him up so they can sleep together on the bedroom.

"Let's sleep upstairs." Jeongyeon said then cleans up all the disorganized things on the coffee table.

After cleaning up, Jeongyeon changed her clothes to pajamas and goes inside the bedroom. Taehyung was already sleeping on the left side of the bed. She slowly lie down beside him to not wake him up, then stares at his face.

She was imagining the future with him. The future they planned out.

"I'm so lucky." Jeongyeon whispered to sleeping Taehyung. A tear fell out in her left eye.

She's been obviously emotional this past days because of her hormones and pregnancy. Her heart is overwhelmed by the love of her friends, family and specially the love of her life.

Remembering how tough it was for her to pick either her career or her baby, she cried silently. There's no winning choice between the two options, if she goes on with her career- She'll regret this decision in her life. She's almost 30 and have been rocking the industry for 9 years, she thinks that's enough for her now. She can always comeback on the industry but this life inside her? It will never comeback.

So she decided to leave the group temporarily, they all planned to leave the company after 3 years and bring back Jeongyeon to the group.

Abortion in SK is normalized. It's a woman's body choice. Everyone is doing it to avoid responsibility and also because they were not ready to build a family, but when she saw her ultrasound- a part of her felt whole. Like as if there was a hole in her for a long time that she didn't know and now it's complete. She's complete.
