Sweet Summer Day

"Isn't this cute?" Taehyung pointed at the little baby pink clothes with a 'Daddy's girl' printed on it.

"Hon, I'm just 7 weeks pregnant. We still don't know it's gender." Jeongyeon said chuckling.

"Shhhh, it's cute. I'm buying it." Taehyung said and adds it to the cart.

"Taehyung, you've bought enough clothes!" She scolded, Taehyung pouted and frowned.

"I have many money, It's gonna be fine." Taehyung said and continue browsing on the online shopping browser.

"You're so hard headed." She said and naughtily rolls her eyes.

She checks the time on the clock before getting her tote bag and putting on her xxl sweater.

"Are you coming or not?" Jeongyeon asked Taehyung who is still browsing.

"Huh? Ah, yes wait." He stands up and puts on his coat.

"Let's go." He said then puts on a mask and cap to avoid paparazzis.

They are going to the private ob-gyne of Jeongyeon. It is a trusted doctor since she is 50 year old doctor and doesn't care about the celebrities, a lot of idols goes to this doctor secretly and some of them are secretly pregnant too.

"Put on your seatbelt." Taehyung said then puts his on.

"Hello, We're here for Doctor Han." Jeongyeon whispered to the nurse, the nurse nodded and got shocked when she realized who it was.

The nurse awkwardly walks away to inform Dr. Han that a patient has come. A little later, the nurse comes back.

"D-Doctor Han is waiting for you Miss." The nurse stuttered still star struck at the celebrity sitting on the waiting area. Jeongyeon nods and smiles at the nurse and walked to the room where her Doctor is.

She texted Taehyung to follow up before knocking at the door and opens it. She sees the doctor's back, it's doing something she doesn't know.

"Hello Doc." She greeted, the doctor smiles at her and pointed at the chair.

"It's been a while since a celebrity came through that door." Doctor Han stated while chuckling. She awkwardly laughs and nodded.

"So, I'm just gonna ask you a few questions before we proceed to the ultra sound." The doctor said and sat back down in her chair.

"Alright."

"Did you drink the vitamins I told you to drink?" She softly asked, making her more comfortable because it feels like she was just talking to her auntie or mom.

"Of course. My husband always reminds me." Jeongyeon said and started to feel butterflies in her stomach when she said 'My husband'.

"That's good, It's gonna help the baby to grow healthier because you were so stressed last check up. I saw that your baby is unhealthy, that causes a higher probability of miscarriage." The doctor explained.

A knock on the door distracted the two.

"Hello?" Taehyung greeted and goes inside. Dr. Han is shocked at his appearance, she never expected that this young handsome bachelor man is gonna visit her clinic.

"Mr. Kim, It's nice to meet you." Dr. Han shake her hands with him.

"Dr. Han, Nice to meet you too." Taehyung sat beside Jeongyeon and smiles at her.

"I didn't came last time because my wife haven't told me that time yet. I'm happy that I could come today." Dr. Han nodded.

"It's a good timing because today is where we're gonna hear the first heartbeat of your baby." Dr. Han said with a smile on her face.

The nurse escorted Jeongyeon to the changing room to change her clothes into the hospital gown.

"Why do I look fat in this gown?" Jeongyeon thought but didn't realize she said that out loud.

"What? No, you look so beautiful." Taehyung complimented while staring at her back.

"sweet talker." Jeongyeon teased and smirked.

"I'm saying the truth, hon. You're so beautiful." He said while genuinely smiling at her and couldn't help himself but to kiss her on the lips.

Jeongyeon blushes and suppressed her smile. Until now he still gives her butterflies in her stomach.

"Mr. and Mrs. Kim?" A nurse called them, Jeongyeon looks at Taehyung with confusion.

"What?" Taehyung pouted.

"We're coming." Jeongyeon said then comes out of the room.

"This way please." The nurse escorted the two to the designated room for them. Thanks G, there was a private hallway for VIPs. The nurse entered first and opened the door for them.

"Thank you."

"Please lie down here and wait patiently for Doc Han." He pointed at the hospital bed, he said some instructions to them before leaving the room.

"I think it's gonna be a boy." Taehyung talked out of nowhere.

"I'm just 8 weeks pregnant, Taehyung-ah." Jeongyeon said chuckling.

"Isn't that the stage where we can know the gender?" Clueless Taehyung asked.

"No. Maybe as early as 15 weeks." Jeongyeon said, unsure what to answer.

"Oh. So, we need to wait till June?" He asked with an excitement.

"Yes."

"Hi. Shall we start?" Doctor Han suddenly comes inside the room while fixing her gloves.

"This is Ultrasound gel, it is a little bit cold in the skin."

Doc Han puts the gel on Jeongyeons exposed belly. Jeongyeon and Taehyung was a little bit nervous, as if they were on an award show. He slowly lifts up her right hand and kissed it.

"See Mr. Kim and Mrs. Kim, that's your baby." She pointed the little ball of fetus at the monitor. Taehyung bites his bottom lip, even though it's just a little ball on the screen. He feels like this baby would change his world, just looking at it makes him smile.

After a few second of looking at the monitor, Dr. Han puts something on Jeongyeon's stomach and adjusted something on the monitor.

"Here's the heartbeat of your baby." Both deeply inhaled the air, nervous.

Slowly they hear the heartbeat of the baby.

They never thought that this sound would make them happier than ever. It sounded like music to their ear, knowing it is a healthy baby.

"I'll leave you two first." Dr. Han excused herself.

Both nodded and continued listening to the little heartbeats. Jeongyeon can't help but to tear up, she can't believe that there's a human growing inside of her.

Just the three of them inside the room felt like home. She can't ask anything for more, now that she knows what home feels like. Everything is emotional, though the baby is just 7 and half weeks, God knows how happy their life will be. With a loving and strict mother, a sweet and childish father, a lot of aunties and uncles. This baby will be loved by a bunch of good people.

"I love you." Taehyung smiles at Jeongyeon and kissed her forehead. Jeongyeon smiles back and reached for a kiss.

"I love you too." She whispered.
