Interdimensional Love REWRITTEN (Arceus X Celestia / Luna X Giratina Fanfiction)

Prologue

The sun shone brightly over Equestria, every creature all over the land were living together in harmony. Yaks galloping alongside earth ponies in Appaloosa, dragons flying high up in the sky with pegisai in Cloudale, and kirin sharing a laugh or two with the unicorns in Canterlot. Yes, there was peace among all creatures ever since Princess Twilight Sparkle had been chosen to be the new ruler of Equestria after Princess Celestia's and Princess Luna's 1000 year reign. The two sisters decided to retire to Silver Shoals to finally get the rest and relaxation that they deserve, but the two quickly found out that maybe they weren't as ready for retirement as they thought. While still being older than any other pony in Equestria, the way alicorns age kept them as young adults, and it would be ages till even the eldest sister Celestia started to wrinkle. Even though they lived in Silver Shoals with the rest of the community, because of their royal past they could afford to live in their own separate suite, a short walk away from the rest of the ponies, on top of a hill next to a small waterfall. There the two sisters had a glorious view of the moon rise and sunset over the land, plus the added bonus of privacy from the others should they ever need it. They never spent too much time there though, when the other retired ponies were hosting events or group activities Luna was always there to join them. She enjoyed socializing with the others whether it was over an afternoon of arts and crafts or talking about the new chapter she had just read in the book club, she could always find some pony who would wanna talk, but she found it hard to relate with the older ponies. Since retirement Luna had become fascinated with modern technology, but none more so than video games. She had bought every system and every new triple A title that was released, sometimes playing them alone in her room till she lost track of time and Celestia had to go and snap her out of her trance. Luna tried to get the others interested but they could never understand how even the simplest games worked and were constantly forgetting the controls and where the right buttons were. She even tried to get her sister interested but she never wanted to sit still for long. Celestia wanted to spend her days outdoors exploring the land, taking every hiking trail, swimming along the beach, and climbing every big tree she could find. She was always the first to sign up to go on group field trips, she wanted to see every part of Equestria and beyond, to go on new adventures and discover new things, except she quickly ran into her own problem, no pony could keep up with her. Unless Luna decided to tag along on her adventures (which was rare) none of the others could keep up or were fit enough to handle the same amount of excitement, not to mention the so called adventures they would go on were always slow and safety proofed for the elderly. Both Celestia and Luna were stuck similar boats, they were too young hearted to fully get along with the ponies at Silver Shoals, and while the sisters both truly enjoyed their time spent together, their interests were so different that they could rarely agree on what they should spend time together doing and often had to compromise one way or another. It was clear that these two needed something else in their lives, but what?
