Chapter 1 - Knowing Each Other

A few days later...

Location - (L/N) Residence, (Y/N)'s Room

Your POV

It was a new day, but when I woke up, I was beginning to feel fear, knowing exactly what is going to happen. I want to stay in my room as much as possible, but if I did that, my parents would find a way to break into my room and attack me. I felt like I needed to get out of the house and hang out with a friend as much as possible. So I grabbed my phone and texted Moca.

Your text: Hey Moca, do you think we can hang out today? I don't want to be anywhere near my parents right now.

Moca's text: I would love to, but the cute Moca-chan already has plans.

Dang it, what am I going to do now?

Your text: Oh, what do you have planned?

Moca's text: I am going to turn Hii-chan from a big five to a skinny ten, like Moca-chan. 😏😘

I began to laugh a little bit. If this was Himari's book, I would say that she is a ten, but I didn't.

Your text: Who am I going to hang out with then?

Moca's text: Why not Ran? She told me she doesn't have anything planned today.

I guess that is not a bad idea. But would she want to hang out with me though? When I first met her, she kind of scared me a little with that serious expression she had. But then, that expression changed when she discovered that we were neighbors.

Your text: I guess I can hang out with her. Can you give me her contact info? 

Moca's text: Leave it to the cute, adorable Moca-chan!

Moca texted me her phone number, then I thanked her and saved it. After a while, I took some deep breaths before reaching out to her.

Your text: Hey Ran, this is (Y/N), and I want to ask you something.

Ran's text: (Y/N)? How did you get this number?

Your text: Moca gave it to me.

Ran's text: She would do that... 😒

Your text: More importantly, I was hoping if you wanted to hang out with me.

Ran's text: Hang out with you? Why is that?

Does she really want to know?

Your text: Oh, I thought you were interesting, and want to get to know you more.

Ran's text: Oh stop... I am not that interesting. 😳

Your text: Well, I think you are. So what do you say? Do you want to meet up?

It took a minute for her to respond.

Ran's text: Sure, I guess it couldn't hurt to get to know you. Do you want me to come over and go somewhere?

I can't have Ran meet my abusive parents, or else they will never let me hang out with anyone again.

Your text: Ah, no need for that. I'll just come to you.

Ran's text: Well, okay then. See you soon.

If I were to head out the front door, my parents would caught me for sure, and because I have been texting both Ran and Moca for a while, I wouldn't be surprised if they were awake by now.
