" 'These types of trees don't contain an item that can heal you. Whatever you do don't check the tree.' So Ralsei, do you know who wrote these signs?" I ask as Kris grabs the star shaped item from the tree.

"No not really, if it wasn't Lancer then it must be someone serving the king." Kris bites the candy before pausing then shoveling the rest in their mouth.

I laugh before helping Ralsei grab the other two. "So what does it taste like?" He finishes and looks up at me. "...marshmallows. Like a really good marshmallow."

"Well if that's the case maybe they can heal us when we are injured, I can't always use my healing after all." Ralsei hands them to me and I put them away, moving forward until we see Lancer again.

He steps in front of us. "If you head that way my team will thrash you!"

"...Is that a threat?"

"I prefer to think of it as an invitation."

"Gotcha." Before we could walk any further, 3 Rudinn came charging our way, and before we knew it the battle was over and we were in front of a spinning baker.

"Mama miba! I'm Topchef! My latest cake worked me to exhaustion! So I took a little nap... But Mama miba! A scary noise woke me up! A beast was hunched on the table eating the cake like an animal!"

Ralsei tried to console the baker while Kris took a piece of the cake, leaving me to ask the questions. "Um..did that beast happen to be purple.." Topchef jumps up, then starts spinning again. "Yes the beast was purple! I seen it before it ran away from my spritzing of water!"

We all smile at each other before Topchef starts to sob again. "But my wonderful cake is-"

"Don't worry we'll fix it!" I interrupt, not wanting to hear anymore crying. "And if you can't?" He sniffles.

"..we'll eat-" "We will definitely fix it!" I drag Kris and Ralsei away. "Great job Y/n at this rate we'll find Susie in no time, and Kris try not to eat the cake while your at it."

I laugh at the two before we keep going through, sparing new enemies along the way even doing a clock puzzle. Eventually we make it to the 'Maze of Death' as mentioned by Lancers sign.

It wasn't much of a maze as we could see where the paths ended which usually had scared and splattered enemies and even found a chest with a white ribbon in it. "Oh, That ribbon is a piece of armor! It increases defense. Why don't you try putting it on!"

Kris shakes their head in disagreement as they walk behind me, tying the bow in my hair. "..I think it would look better on you, plus we don't have anything better for you."

I hear Ralsei telling Kris how nice they were as I try to recover from the sudden action. "T-thanks..." I murmur still not looking at them. Kris gives a sound of approval before taking us through the rest of the maze with Ralsei happily in tow.

Before we could fully leave the maze Lancer made us fight a bunch of Hathy, which wasn't an issue since we barely had to dodge anything. Lancer then came back. "Hey why aren't you guys thrashed?! You're totally outnumbered!"

Ralsei answered bluntly. "You made a team purely of support enemies. Their bullet patterns aren't balanced at all. It's like a dinner made out of three glasses of milk."

Lancers face went blank as he looked at Ralsei sideways. "And that's um...Unusual somehow?"

"Why don't we talk about this after the battle? Anyways great job you two! We earned a lot of dark dollars this time around!" Ralsei claps for us as Lancer walks back over.

"Sweet! How much do I get?" I look over at Lancer giving him a sympathetic smile. "I think you lost..meaning you get none."

"Oh. Can I have some of yours?" We all give a sturdy 'No!' "Fine! Later losers!" We walk into the next room and it was another clock button puzzle.

After a few minutes of running around we were all out of breath sitting against the wall before I spoke up "There's a lot more buttons than last time, we might not be able to do this with just the three of us.." The other two agreed and we made our way down the only path we could.

"Ugh! Open up you stupid door!

"Susie!!"
