Walking to school was practically the same as walking to the 'Librarby' well from your perspective it was normal, but to everyone else it was strange to see another seemingly human teenager, especially one that isn't out often, roaming the streets.

Finding your shoes more interesting than the townspeople watching you, you keep walking only to be pulled back by your backpack. "Hey! (Y/n) slow down dammit!" You quickly look up.

Rubbing your sore neck from the sudden whiplash and picking yourself up, you turn around and respond to her. "Oh, sorry Susie I didn't hear you back there." You begin fixing your shirt as she let's out an aggressive snort, something that was normal for her as she was always phased by something.

"Yeah no shit sherlock, what's got your head so high in the clouds today anyways, don't tell me its these assholes roaming the streets?" Shaking your head with a small smile, you turn around, continuing your walk to school with Susie in tow.

"It's not them, it's more like the uncomfortable feeling of being around more people than you or Sans and Papyrus." She nods before giving you a suspicious squint that you could barely see through her overgrown bangs.

Trying to shift the strange mood, you give Susie a light push before giggling and running off. "Last one to the side of the school is Berdly's next crush!~"

She let's out a string of curses before quickly running behind you, both of you in a rush trying to slow the other down to win this seemingly childish competition. "Oh my pezza, Susie is that a box of chalk?!?!" "Where?!?!"

She makes a sudden stop, quickly looking around. Before she could realize her mistake, you took off and busted out, laughing, soon enough; your hand was touching the side of the wall with Susie a few seconds behind. "Wooo! I win! No 'Nerdly', for this gal!" you pump your fist enthusiastically. "Shut up dude, you only won because you tricked me, you cheater" she stares through puckered lips crossing her arms. "I'm not a cheater if there wasn't any rules." You stick your tongue out at her.

Looking at your phone, you realize the time. "Class is starting soon, we should get going." Susie waves her hand dismissively and walks the opposite way from the front door, giving you no chance to protest.

"You go on in without me, I'll be there." Shaking your head at her ways, you make your way to Ms. Alphys's class.

You were on time, but one of the last people in class, it seemed everyone had picked seats close to their friends because everyone was conversing with each other. Luckily, everyone was too busy talking to notice you walking to your seat in the very back, well, everyone except for that deer girl whose name you've never cared to remember.

She gave you a wave and a bright smile that you gladly returned before Berdly forced her attention on him again. Sitting in your seat, you put your head down and began scrolling on your phone before today's lesson started.

Just as you started to find something interesting, Alphys began to get the attention of the class; you tried to listen, but your brain wouldn't let you; all you heard was something about partners and projects and you were officially out of it. You were just hoping that Susie came in soon so you didn't have to partner up with someone scary or something, even if it meant doing all the work.

Suddenly the door slams open; you flinch, but keep your head down, hoping it was Susie. "K-Kris...! We thought you weren't coming to class today!" you didn't know who this 'Kris' was but you mentally sigh at the fact that they came in instead of Susie.

"We're doing class projects this month...so uhhh walk around and find a partner ok?" It was pretty silent besides the responses to Kris's request, all of which were denied until they came to my desk.

They didn't say anything but tapped on my desk, then my arm; they must've thought I was sleeping because they tried once more, then walked away, seemingly to tell Alphys they didn't have a partner. "Oh um, (Y/N) doesn't seem to have a partner...is she sleep?" Dammit, Susie, where the hell are you?!? Hearing Alphys get closer, you slowly raise your head.

"Sorry, I zoned out. Also, I don't have a partner." Alphys smiles nervously as she points towards Kris. "T-That's fine (Y/N), you can be partners with K-Kris." You nod as you move up a desk to sit behind Kris, giving them a small wave, to which they return surprisingly.

"A-Alright class you can now begin discussing what you think the assignment is." Kris turns around to look at you, putting their notebook and pencil on your desk and tilting their head at an angle, as if to say they were confused about what was happening. "Oh yeah, you weren't here for the explanation were you?" They shake their head. "well-" The door slams open catching everyone's attention, for the second time today.

"H....Hi Susie." Alphys greets stunned by the loud noise and student. "....am I late?" "Ohh n-no! You're fine! W-we were just uh...Ch-choosing partners for the next group project and...ummm Susie you're with Kris and (Y/N)!"

Mentally having a party you turn towards Susie with a small smile. "...great" Susie walks over to the desk behind you nodding her head at you as a greeting. "N-now that everyone's here I'll write the assignment!" She walks over to the chalk board looking for something.

"Uh.. . H-has anyone seen the chalk? This is the third time it's gone missing and..." The class is dead silent. "Y-you all know I can't start class without some!" You hear someone cough but other than that its silent.

"H-how about this ? If no one speaks up..." Alphys frowns seemingly trying to look angry, but it's not working. "E-everyone gets in trouble! A.. . Anyone ? P.. . please?" This is sad at this point.

Noelle suddenly speaks up. "Hey there might be a box in the supply closet...Miss Alphys why don't Susie and I..." you frown slightly at the idea.

*Noelle, sweetie, honey, gravy, I love you but bro? That's my partner, try again sister.

"G-good idea Noelle! Susie s-since you came in last...Why don't you go get it for me...?" "I'll go to! If um that's ok miss Alphys..." Its not like you didn't like Kris, but it was way too awkward to stick around without your friend, so you had to go. "O-Oh sure (Y/N)..." Susie makes her way out of class with you right behind her.
