Chapter 2

Quickly they booked it down a road crossing the street when a truck turns and almost hits them causing them to dive out of the way. "Maniac." Sarah says as John B helps her and the puppy up. Then they both realize, "Hey is that...'' Sarah starts as John B finishes "Heyward?" "Heyward's truck." They quickly left awestruck when they heard the man yelling at them, so they took off to try and catch the rest of the pogues. They were running down the sidewalk when they heard them yelling heading towards the alleyway, "JJ! Kie! Pope!" They both yelled but the three friends were to occupied with trying to live that they didn't hear them. "Shit!" Sarah stated as she saw the angry customer running towards them, John B looked beside him and saw a bike with a carriage like seat on the back, so he put the jerry cans on and hopped on. "Come on, we gotta find them." He said, "How do you work this thing?" He asked himself while trying to get it to go. "Hey!" The owner of the bike said "That's my bike!" He yelled as he started chasing them.

They raced down the street while Sarah yelled out for them, all of a sudden they braked as someone ran out of the alleyway, they quickly realized that it was their friends. They all paused and stared at each other for a moment before remembering what was going on around them. "Get in! Get in! Get in!" They said to the other 3. Kie jumped on beside Sarah while the boys held onto the back and ran. "Peddle faster John B." Sarah said as she seen the guy gaining. "Oh my god!" Kie yelled as JJ yelled "Go John B Go!" JJ quickly jumped up on the side of the bike while encouraging pope to get up too. Before Pope could though, he fell but quickly got up and ran to the bike as fast as he could. Kie grabbed his hand and helped pull him up as the man chasing them started to catch up grabbing the bike, but before he could do anything the 4 in the back pushed him off and he fell. Using this to their advantage, John B peddled as fast as he could so the guy couldn't catch up. "See you later alligator!" JJ yelled, then Pope yelled "See you later asshole! Oh my god!" and they all cheered for the fact that they got rid of the guy along with finding each other. "Blowin' you a little big kiss!" JJ yelled.

Once they got to the shore, they all worked together to get the boat filled and off the land so they could all head home, none of them missing the little extra care that John B gave Sarah but they had thought it was because she had the puppy. When they leff the land they quickly start catching the other up, "Yo Sarah!" JJ said, "Yah?" "Where'd you get the dog?" "She came up to me while at the gas station." She told him, "Can I hold her?" Kie asked, "Yah sure, here you go." She said handing Kie the puppy, that's when everyone had seen the bandage on Sarah, "Whoa, Sarah. What happened to you?" Pope asked, "Rafe shot me when we stopped them on the way to the airport to transfer the gold." Sarah said nonchalantly, "What?" they all said. "Yah, but I'm fine now and I'm alright and as soon as I can I'll take some painkillers." Sarah said looking at John B who gave her a small smile. "Well all I've gotta say is that we are glad that you're all good Sarah." Pope said to the dirty blonde, "yah and thanks for making sure John B didn't get into too much trouble." Kie added. "Well after he went to the vacation home for the gold without me, he learned pretty quickly to listen to what I say." She replied with a smirk. "Wow John B, your whipped man." JJ laughed. "Wouldn't have it any other way." He responded. "That was cheesy man." They all laughed. "So, what's her name?" Pope asked the two, John B looked at Sarah who smiled. "I think we'll call her Alaia, like the surfboards made of wood." Sarah told them all. "Well Alaia, welcome to pouge life!" JJ hollered and everyone cheered including the little puppy who kinda howled in response.

"So here's a question for you guys." John B started, "Yeah?" Pope asked, "What were you guys doing in Charleston?" John B continued, "and who was the man chasing you." JJ then jumped up to start the story, "Ok, so we are sitting in class and the teacher is droning on, and some rando comes into the class demanding that Pope goes with him. So of course being the respectful student he is he follows mister rando and when he gets back he has this letter stating that they have evidence that could clear your name and that Pope had to go meet them that night to get. Of course this was all written in cursive and these two can't read that so I did, anyway-" JJ said, "excuse me, who read that?" Kie asked, "Fine, you did." JJ replied while everyone laughed, "Thank you." Kie said while handing Alaia to Sarah so she could finish explaining what really happened.

They had begun to get hungry when they stopped to get food, Kie and Sarah volunteered to go find food and let the boys catch up. When they got out Alaia had insisted on going with them, "I'm telling you Sarah, she's your dog already." JJ said as they started to leave. "That she is JJ." Sarah responded laughing. Kie and Sarah are looking for food when Kie lifts up a huge watermelon, "Jackpot" she exclaims, they then split it in half and sit down to eat it. "Mmm... holy shit." Sarah said as she ate. "So you guys really got married?" Kie asked, wanting all the girly details without the guys around, "It wasn't exactly legal," Sarah said while Kie playfully rolled her eyes, "but yeah." She said happily. "Am I crazy or is there something going on between you and JJ?" Sarah asked. "Maybe." Kie responded, "That's not a no." "It's not a no." "What about you and Pope, I know he has a thing for you." Sarah asked curiously. "Yah he did, and he kissed me after you guys left but then he realized that he liked me better as a friend which makes it a lot easier for me, especially with what could happen between me and JJ." Kie responded honestly, "That sounds fair." Sarah said, that's when Alaia barked at the girls wanting attention. "Here Alaia, we will throw the stick a couple of times and then find some more watermelon so we can head back to the guys during their gossip session." Sarah told the dog as she threw the stick. "Are you ok carrying that Sarah?" Kie questioned, she didn't want her best friend to hurt herself more and she didn't need John B to get mad at her. "Yah it isn't too bad, I promise if it does get too bad I'll let you know." She responded "ok."
