Chapter 7

Meanwhile, "What's going on?" Wheezy asked, "What happened to Sarah? Why is she crying?" "Um, here Pope you can drive us to the chateau and JJ you can have the front. We will get in the van in a second." John B said, handing Pope the keys. "Wheezy come here." They went over and sat on the ground in front of the wall. When John B finished explaining what happened Wheezy was crying, John B grabbed her and pulled her into his lap. "Shh, I know Wheez. It's okay, just let it all out." He whispered, he then started rubbing her back remembering that Sarah did that to help comfort her. "I'm sorry John B." Wheezy told him, "He did all that awful stuff to you and here I am crying about losing him." She hugged him. "No Wheez, don't apologize. Just like I told your sister, he may be a horrible person, but you have memories of him being a kind and gentle person who was there for you." He told her. "Well he wasn't really there for me, if anyone was there for me it was Sarah." She told him chuckling, "Yeah, that sounds like Sarah." John B replied, hugging her tightly, "She really does care for me." "Yeah. When we were in the Bahamas, all she could do was worry about you. When we found out that they were going to arrest everyone she made sure that she would have an opportunity to take custody of you so you wouldn't end up in foster care." John B told her. "Come on, let's head to the van so we can go home. What do you say? We all cuddle up together and watch a movie or something?" "Yeah, let's go." Wheezy says, getting up.
By the time John B and Wheezy had gotten in the van, Sarah was passed out in Kie's lap from crying with Alaia lying onto of her sleeping as well. "How is she doing?" John B whispered. "She fell asleep from crying, she feels really bad for breaking down. She kept saying that you would be upset about it and she could not stop crying. She is really mad with herself for feeling like this John B. Please tell her that you are not, when you talk to her next." Kie told him while stroking Sarah's hair. "Yeah John B. She really is upset with herself, and she blames herself for all this. She kept saying that if she had figured out how corrupted her dad really was that she would have stopped it before he had done all that he had to you. She is blaming herself for this whole thing. She believes it's all her fault that he found out about the gold and that he had tried to kill you, along with the fact that he had been the last one to see your dad." JJ added. "I will talk to her, you guys. Thank you for letting me know." John B said as he leaned down to kiss her forehead, giving Alaia a quick pet before going to sit down. That's when Pope started to drive to the chateau.
Once they arrived at the chateau, John B had carried Sarah inside and laid her down in their room, Alaia following quickly in tow. He tucked her into bed, giving her a quick kiss and letting the puppy up to cuddle with her, before heading out to the living room where everyone was. "Hey guys, I'm going to lie down with her for a bit. That way, when she wakes up, she won't be alone. Wheez if you would like you can come in at anytime, okay?" John B told them all, "No problem man, you go be with your girl." JJ said. "Yeah, we can entertain ourselves." Pope stated, "Ooh we can watch a movie." Kie said getting up, moving towards the pile of movies. "I'll give you guys some space and watch some movies. But if I need to, I will come and join y'all." Wheez told him, giving him a hug then headed over to Kie to help pick out a movie. "Okay, see you guys in a bit." And with that, John B headed towards his and Sarah's room.
When John B walked into the room, Sarah was still sleeping but was cuddled up with his pillow with the only space between being Alaia who was curled into Sarah as tight as possible. John B walked over to the bed and gently pulled the pillow away from her hands and crawled into bed, Sarah instantly wrapped her arms around John B and cuddled into him while placing her head on his chest. "I love you Sarah. I am so lucky to have you as my wife." He whispered, kissing her head and cuddling her, Alaia felt left out so licked John B a couple times on the cheek. "I love you too, Alaia. I am so glad that you are here with us." He told the puppy, giving her a couple of pets before falling asleep.
A while later John B woke up hearing whimpering, at first he was confused but then felt Sarah tossing and turning in his arms. "Hey it is okay, I'm here. You're safe." He told her sitting up, he pulled her up with him in a cradle like position slightly rocking her while whispering reassuring words to her glad that the puppy had moved from in between them so he could do this easier. Once she had calmed down and he thought that she was sleeping he closed his eyes to rest. "John B?" He heard someone whisper a couple minutes later, when he opened his eyes and didn't see anyone at the door he looked down and saw Sarah looking up at him with tears starting to well up. "Yeah baby?" He asked with a gentle voice. "Are you mad at me for being upset about my dad? Because I completely understand if you want Wheez and I to move out and you want nothing to do with me. I mean obviously it would hurt but I understand and-" she was rambling on and on, that's when John B interrupted her. "Hey stop, you're working yourself up. You have nothing to apologize for okay? You know my dad wasn't the best, all he ever worried about was the gold and would always forget to pay the bills and for food. But you wanna know something? He was still my dad so when he went missing I still missed him because was my dad, no matter how much he was a bad dad I still miss him. I completely understand that you are feeling so many mixed emotions because I went through that too and I still sometimes am. I don't want you and Wheezy to move out anytime soon, you are my wife and belong here with me in our bed and in our room. We are going to renovate this whole place and make it our place. That sounds all good for you?" He had told her with as much truth as possible but keeping it calm for her. "Yeah, that makes me feel a lot better about everything. Thank you for everything, and if you need anything or want to talk about anything I am here and I will do my best to help you." She told him sitting up straddling his hips, she wrapped her arms around his neck and placed her head in the crook of his neck. "I know baby, thank you." He said, placing a kiss on her neck. "Hmm." She hummed, kissing his neck in return then moving her head and kissing his lips. After a few minutes of making out they pulled away for air. "You know if there was not anyone else here I would totally beg you to take me." Sarah whispered in his ear seductively. "Mmm, you are not making this any easier Sarah." He whispered seductively back, pulling her closer to him. That's when Sarah chuckled and kissed him again only to be interrupted by Alaia, who came over for attention of her own making the couple laugh.
About 20 minutes later, Sarah and John B decided to head to the living room to hang out with everyone. When Wheezy had seen Sarah she had gotten up to go over to and hug her. "Hey, how are you doing?" Sarah asked her, hugging her back. "I'm not too sure to be honest, do you wanna come join us to watch Legally Blonde?" Wheez asked with excitement in her voice at the second part of her sentence. "Yeah sure. Come on." Sarah said, leading the two of them and the puppy to the open couch. Sarah sat in the middle with John B on her right and Wheezy on her left, she leaned into John B resting her head on his shoulder while Wheez leaned onto her and Alaia laid on the floor in front of her.
Once the movie was finished they all decided to head to the beach and hang out in the water. "Let's go, everyone!" JJ yelled, "You guys are taking forever!" Sarah and John B laughed, they were in their room changing while Wheezy was in the bathroom. "You look pretty." John B told her when she had finished changing into a brown bikini top and ripped shorts. "Thanks." She told him, giving him a quick kiss before grabbing one of his button ups to use as a cami. John B was wearing his basic pair of swim trunks deciding to go shirtless. "Is it alright if I go surfing for a bit? I know you can't really go in the water because of your wound." He asked her, "Yeah it's all good. I'll just stay on the beach and read a bit, soak up the sun and play around with Alaia. You go and have fun." She told him. "Okay. If you need anything, don't be afraid to call one of us in." He told her. "I won't." And with that they headed out of the room to see everyone else just finishing up getting changed. "About time you guys, now come on!" JJ said, running out the door, leaving the rest of the pogues laughing.
