Chapter 4: The Aftermath

       He awoke in the late morning lying on the floor. His holes were still soggy from last night, as expected. Squidward was no where to be seen?
SpongeBob drug his sore spongey body outside in the warm water over to Squidward's house. When he knocked on his door, nothing. No reply for 2 minutes.
"Okay maybe he is still sleeping."
SpongeBob knocked harder, nothing again.
       "SHOOT I'M LATE FOR WORK," Spongebob shouts at his clock when he gets back inside. Rushing to the Krusty Krab, he worries for Squidward.
"Well, maybe he's already at work." His thoughts are chaotic.
When he finally gets to the Krusty Krab, Squidward is no where to be seen?
"Have you seen Squidward, me boy?" Mr. Krabbs asked curiously.
"No, Sir." SpongeBob replied with a grin.
"Ah haha, I remember sonny. He came in early in the morning and resigned, I'll miss that squid."
SpongeBob's heart shattered.

A long day at work passes....

       "HEY SPONGEBOB!!!!" Patrick tries to get SpongeBob's attention.
"Yes?"
"Do you want to-" Patrick was cut short.
"Have you seen Squiddy?" SpongeBob interrogates.
"Yes I have I saw him with a bunch of boxes earlier he said he was moving far away." *Patrick laughs*
"Oh..." Says SpongeBob, his broken heart sinks deeper to his stomach and falls out one of his side holes.
"I'll see you later Patrick,"

SpongeBob is devastated.
