"WHAT THE-- WHAT is mass?" richie asked, sounding confused. "who cares how far it goes? it matters how cool it looks, like it's green or it's white, or juicy and fat." eddie rolled his eyes at richie.

"all right." bill sighed. "who's first?" he asked, changing the topic. "that was terrible." they all look down below.

"i'll go." beverly said, causing all the boys to look at her as she's undressing herself. "sissies!" she ran past them and jumps off.

"what the fuck?!" richie looked down. "aw, holy shit! We just got showed up by a girl!"

"do we have to do that now?" stan asked. "yes. where's y/n anyways? she said she was gonna be here." eddie replied.

"right here!" y/n was now undressing herself. she was doubting for a minute, but she finally decided to be brave. "sissies!" she repeated, as she runs past them and jumps off after beverly.

"oh shit." stan said as the same time richie said, "holy fuck! we just got showed up by a girl, again!" seconds later they were all now jumping one by one.

they were all just splashing around and also playing. it was all fun until one decided to ask her something. "y/n? what's that on your shoulder?"

all of them then looked at y/n. it made her nervous as the memory begins to drain back on her head. "it's uh, nothing, really. i just.." she looked down. they knew it probably meant something happened.

"y-you don't have to talk about if-if you don't want too, we're not--"

"ah, fuck! what was that?" richie suddenly cutted out.

"wait, something just touched my foot right here." stan said as eddie, him and richie look underwater. "that work?"

"where are we looking?" eddie asked, looking around. "right here, right here, right here!" richie pointed to the center of the circle they made while looking for it earlier, y/n then goes underwater to see.

"it's a turtle."

ALL OF THEM besides y/n are looking at beverly as she sunbathes while young mc's plays on her cassette player. beverly, seemingly knowing they are looking at her, turns toward them.

the boys look away immediately and acts natural. eddie, who was standing next to ben and bill goes to sit next to stan, while beverly goes into a sitting position and richie looks in ben's bag.

"news flash, ben. school's out for the summer!" richie said weirdly.

"oh that? that's not school stuff." ben said as richie reaches into the backpack and pulls out a post card. "who sent you this?" richie asked curiously, turning it around.

"no one, give it." he snatched it from richie's hands. "no one."

richie then reaches into the backpack again and this time pulls out a book, and seeing what looks like a newspaper article, covering the ironworks explosion from the past. "what's with the history project?"

" oh.. well, when i first moved here, i didn't really have anyone to hang out with, so i just started spending time in the library." ben said as stan and y/n leans forward to take a closer look.

"you went to the library? on purpose?" richie said as y/n hands the book to bill to see too.

"oh, i wanna see." beverly makes her way towards them. "what's the black spot?" stan asked.

"the black spot was a nightclub that was burned down years ago by that racist cult." eddie answered him. "the what?" stan asked again, confused. "don't you watch geraldo?" y/n asked.

"your-your-your hair.." y/n then looks at him. "your.. your hair's beautiful, beverly." ben cuts him off.

"oh, right. thanks." beverly smiled as she runs her hand through her hair. bill feeling a little bit jealous ben stole the spotlight, but y/n was more jealous and sighed.

"why is it all murder and missing kids?" y/n tried to change the topic. "derry's not like any town i've ever been in before. they did a study once, and it turns out people die or disappear six times the national average." richie looks at stan.

"you read that?" y/n asked again. "and that's just grown ups. kids are worse. way, way worse. i've got more stuff if you wanna see it." ben stands up.

"no, no." eddie shakes his head and whispered to himself. "let's go."

ALL OF THEM bikes to ben's house, apart from y/n who skates. they let their bikes fall to the ground and go inside, while stan puts the kickstand down.

entering his room, ben grabs a magazine, a shirt, and his underwear, throws them in his closet, and closes it. "don't freak out, just tell us." eddie said.

"yeah. i heard he has a rollercoaster and a pet chimp and an old guy's fucking bones. yeah." stan looks at the stuff on ben's desk while richie's attention is drawn to the articles and pictures on the wall. "whoa, whoa, whoa. wow!"

"cool, huh?" ben smiled.

"no. no, nothing cool. there's nothing cool. oh, this is cool, right here. wait, no. no, it's not cool."

"what's that?" stan asked, pointing to a piece of paper. "oh, that? that's the charter for derry township." ben answered.

"nerd alert." richie joked.

"no, actually, it's really interesting. derry started out as a beaver trapping camp." ben said.

"still is, am i right, boys?" richie raises his hand, stan shooks his head and y/n merely looks at him. he then puts his hand back. "ninety-one people signed the charter that made derry. but later that winter, they all disappeared without a trace." ben continued. "the entire camp?"

"there were rumors of indians, but no sign of an attack. everybody just thought it was a plague or something." ben paused as they all look at a picture of the camp that's displayed, on the far left is a figure resembling pennywise.

"but it's like one day everybody just woke up and left. the only clue was a trail of bloody clothes leading to the well house."

"jesus. we can get derry on unsolved mysteries." richie said, "let's do that. you're brilliant." y/n smiled. "i might be. i don't know. maybe he's just trying to make some friends, stanley."

"where was the well house?" bill asked out of nowhere. as the rest of the losers are busy talking.

"i don't know. somewhere in town, i guess. why?" ben answered. "nothing." he shrugs.
