"Well, technically you still need to eat," Hope said taken aback by what Josie had said about not caring. "You may have the ability to shut it off Jo, but you have to think about the fact that might not be what you want." Josie snaps out of it,

"Right," she laughs, "I think I'm going to lay down, care to join?" Hope nodded.

"I'd love too however not with the dead body of Penelope Park in my room." She said, before looking at the heart still in her hand.

"Right," Josie snaps and she disappears, "How do I still have my magic...? Isn't that impossible?"

"If you were an ordinary witch you wouldn't be able to, but you are a siphoner witch. So essentially you are siphoning from yourself." Hope explained.

"Whoa!" She smirks, "That's cool... I guess"

"I guess we're both loopholes of nature," Hope said looking over at her. "So on a serious note how are we going to tell your dad about this?" Josie looks at Hope with a serious face,

"We don't," She says, laying down. Hope raised an eyebrow surprised.

"Yes because that's going to end well." She said sarcastically.

"Oh shut it!" She chuckles,

"Never!" She said jokingly. "But if you aren't going to tell your father are you going to tell Lizzie?" She asked curiously. Josie looks at Hope,

"Are you crazy? Hell no! I'm a free immortal now, with dark magic! If anything I'd probably be a threat,"  Hope sighed.

"Josie. Lizzie is your sister, your family. I think she'd at least be happy to hear that you guys no longer have to worry about the merge."

"She'd tell my dad though... and that won't be good..." she flips on her back, "He would hate me..."

"He's your father he'd probably forgive you for anything," Hope said to her remembering what her mother once said to her. "And if he does end up hating you for being who you are that's his loss and that is something he'll have to suffer with for the rest of his life." Josie stands up, looking at Hope,

"I'm going to go tell him," She vamps away, to the door of the office and knocks, "Dad... can we talk? It's really important," her voice shivers, nervously. Hope sighed,

"Well, this should be fun." She said before following the newly turned Heretic. Alaric was sitting at his desk when Josie knocked at the door.

"Of course come on in."

Hope had walked to Alaric's office attempting to conserve her energy, and she also didn't want to vamp speed around the school barefoot. Josie walks in, sitting down,

"I need to tell you something that you aren't going to like," she takes a deep breath, "Penelope turned me into a Vampire," she says.  Alaric frowned thinking he was being pranked.

"Penelope Park, the witch, and your ex turned you into a vampire?" He asked in disbelief. Hope was listening from the hallway not wanting to interrupt unless necessary.

"I-it's a long story... but yeah..." she takes her wrist and bites it for proof, "See...?" Alaric was, to put it lightly, in shock.

"And where is Penelope now?" He asked.

"Dead," Hope said from the hallway. "Yeah, the bitch killed Josie so I returned the favor." Josie laughs,

"Yeah, surprisingly... she'll probably be back somehow..." Hope finally walked into Alaric's office.

"Well, if she does we'll be ready for her."

"Josie you know I didn't want this for you, I wanted you to live the most normal life you can live," He expresses,

"It's not my fault dad! I'm sorry... but it's already done-" He stands up, flipping papers on his desk,

"That's bullshit!"

"Please enlighten us how is it bullshit exactly because from what I can tell it seems like you just pissed off that she isn't what you want her to be." Hope scoffed. Alaric looks at them and sighs,

"You know what...! If she's happy! Then so be it... I can't change the past, but it's your responsibility to look after her and make sure she doesn't do anything stupid, and that no one finds out,"

"Well that kind of defeats the purpose of this school, but fine. I'll go ahead and do your job for you," Hope sighed. To put it lightly Hope was pissed, but in one way Alaric was right. Hope felt like she was responsible to take care of Josie especially since she failed to protect her from Penelope Park of all people.

"I'm going back to my dorm..." She gets up,

"I'll walk you there," Hope said walking towards her.

"Sure!" She fake smiles. Hope nodded and stepped out of Alaric's office. Josie follows her, unamused.

"Josie. I'm sorry for what I said in there." Hope told her.

"It's not your fault, my dad is an ass. I can't believe him," She tears up.

"If he can't accept who you are, then he doesn't deserve you," Hope said trying to reassure her in some way.

"You're right... I don't want to be here anymore,"

"And where would you want to go?" Hope asked curiously.

"I dunno," She looks at Hope, blue veins trailing down her eyes as she's crying, "But not here. If anything," She grabs one of her duffel bags, "I wanna get the hell outta here."
