Chapter Two

I stepped off this large yellow vehicle. Thunder told me that it was a school bus. I looked around and saw a giant red and brown, bricked building. It was about two stories and very dirty-looking. There was a banner and it read 'SKOOL'. For some odd reason, I feel like that's wrong. Oh well. I stepped into the building and saw a large hallway. I walked down the hall and looked for my 'home room'. I saw the number 269, and that matched my room number on the paper. "Here goes nothing," I said under my breath. My hands began to shake when I slowly reached out to the handle. I could feel my face becoming hotter.

"Hurry up! I don't want to be late!" A human said behind me, yanking me out of my nervousness. I let out a loud huff and opened the door. I looked up and saw rows of humans looking at me in shock. Then my eyes stuck on a figure that had its head down. He had black hair that flipped up in the front. It has a little white shine on the side of the flip. I stepped forward and entered the room. The human that yelled at me before had already taken a seat. I walked over to a desk, with a tall, old, scary, human. She has a very thin face, and body. but was covered in wrinkles and has a pair of black glasses. She had grey hair, that was put up in a bun. I handed her the paper that Thunder gave me.

"Okay, class this is our new student. Go ahead and say your name," she said in a tone that felt like 'nails on a chalkboard'. Her voice wasn't high pitched, just very, very scary. I nodded, and cleared my throat.

"Hi everyone, my name is Skylar," I said sweetly.

"Great, now go sit down next to-" she said in a not-caring tone. But she suddenly stopped and began to walk over to the human with his head down. She leaded down to his ear. "WHAT'S THE NAME OF THE BOOK THAT CHARLES DARWIN WROTE ABOUT EVOLUTION!" She screamed in her blood-curdling voice. He threw his head up in shock.

"4, 697!!!!" He shouted.

"WRONG!!! You idiot, it's 'The Origin of Species' you have a detention on Saturday." She said.

"What?! Why does Zim have a detention! That's not fair!" He cried. Then everything stopped. The name 'Zim' kept repeating in my head over and over again. My father warned me of this deadly creature... "YOU HIDEOUS HUMAN! SHALL NEVER GIVE ZIM, A DETENTION! ZIM IS TO AWESOME FOR A-" he said but the teacher cut him off.

"Oh shut up, Skylar you can sit next to the complaining booger..." She said. I nodded respectfully and sat down in the seat next to Zim. He starred at me in curiosity. I looked over at him.

"You looking for something?" I asked him rudely.

"Mrs. Bitters, who is this?" He asked pointing in my direction.

"You moron, that's our new student..." She groaned. He gave her a and... look. "Her name is Skylar," she said. He faced me and gave me a stair down.

"Your eyes..." He muffled. I swallowed hard, I wonder if he can see my Irken eyes through my disguise. "They are very..." He said but stopped again. Heat was flaming off my face. "Blue..." He said and I sighed.

"Yes, I know they are..." I huffed. He then lifted his hand, it had a black glove that went down to his elbow. He separated his four fingers; I thought humans had five... Then he took off his glove and four green fingers all separated, were showing. That's a sign of respect, for Irkens. I looked at him, and he raised an eyebrow. He quickly put his glove back on and starred at him in shock. I nodded, hoping that he understands that I am an Irken. He leaned his head closer to mine.
