Chapter 5.

I AM SO SORRY FOR ALL OF YOU WAITING ON ME!!! I'VE BEEN EXTREMELY BUSY WITH SCHOOL AND WORK AND I FINALLY HAVE THE CHANCE TO GET TO YOU GUYS! I AM SO SORRY! I HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS!!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

"Tak! Slow down, you know I'm not as fast as you!" a younger aged Skylar squeaked.

"I am going slow! Geeze you're a wuss..." she whined looking back at me. I put out a bottom lip and snarled. A skinny arm wrapped around my neck and I looked up. "Aw gosh, I was only playing... I'm sorry..." she said kindly. I giggled and quickly got out of her grasp and bolted away. "HEY! THAS CHEATING!"

"NO, IT'S QUICK THINKING!" I shouted back at her. I ran up to the hill that we look out on every other Saturday, like this one. I looked behind me and a very annoyed Tak walked up next to me. I smiled and she just huffed, and brushed it off.

"So," she said putting her hands behind her head. "When do you think it's gonna start?"

"Huh?"

"The training. When do you think it's gonna start? We're probably gonna get spilt up and become rivals or something..."

"Don't say that silly! My dad will put us with the same trainer that way we can learn together..."

"You think to positive..." she snarled.

"Well, it's good to think bad all the time..."

"Good to think bad? What are you five?"

"No... I'm 8..."

"I know, I was kidding... Geeze, you don't understand sarcasm much do ya?"

"I do too... I just don't use it..."

"Well, that's beside the point... But now that I think of it. Who do you suppose they'll give us as a trainer...? I'll bet he'll be huge!" she said throwing her arms up in the air. "He'll be as big as a tank! Not literally... But, his muscles will be big as my face!" as she put her hands up against her cheeks and squished her face in a childish way. I looked behind me and saw a tree; I walked back and sat at the bottom of the tree watching her. She walked over to the tip of the hill and sat down, letting her legs dangle.

"I'll bet he'll be extremely smart too, almost as smart as my dad..." I said, joining her.

"Yeah, Tallest Red is really smart..." she said, and then began to whisper, "but, I've heard from guards that his mate is even smarter. So smart, that she knows how to communicate with every species out in the galaxy, even before learning their language. She always finds a way to somehow communicate with them... She is brilliant... I wonder what she's out doing now?..."

"Mother is very smart, she is very full of knowledge! She helps me with homework all the time. Thanks to her, I am the best student in my math class... I've asked dad to help, but he's always busy with work... " I then heard rustling grass next to us. We both looked out and saw Tallest Purple floating up to us. He looked so calm and peaceful. "Tallest Purple! Why aren't you with dad?"

"He has a private meeting with some of the Committee members... Mine's coming up next, so I'd figure I'd come out to the hill and have some time too look at the city. But it turns out I wasn't the only one who had that idea." He said with a calm grin.

"Tallest Purple, can you tell me more about Skylar's mom... She's so vast and creative... I don't even know where to begin..." Tak asked enthusiastically.

"Hmm... Where do I even start... Well, I can tell you this. She is very full of life. Extremely beautiful, and perfect for Red. She is his life and he is hers... They are unbreakable... Well, currently that isn't the case..."
