Chapter 4

The screen was ringing. My heart was pounding out of my chest. Is he going to be glad that I am still alive? Will he bite my head off for not telling him sooner? Then I heard a familiar voice, and was brought back to reality. I looked up and saw Purple, with his jaw on the floor. I swallowed hard.

"Hi Purple, have you seen-" I was about to ask but his sudden scream cut me off.

"YOU'RE...ALIVE!!!" he screamed with fright. I laughed at him.

"Of course I'm alive, now as I was saying before, have you-" he cut me off again.

"RED! RED COME QUICKLY! HURRY!" he shouted in another direction. I saw my father running into the room frantically. His eyes widened on me. I waved, sheepishly.

"Sk-Skylar...your ok?" he asked in shock. Both Purple and I nodded our heads at the same time. My dad laughed and shook his head.

"Hi dad..." I said, and bit my tongue. He is going to freaking kill me! But he jumped in the air, dancing along with Purple. I stood in awe, what the hell is he doing???

"I am so glad that your alive! I was so worried that the monster has taken you!" he said after his retarded dance. I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, I forgot to call you and let you know that I'm alive. On the bright side, I am a long way away from the monster," I said and my father nodded.

"I see that," his smile fading away. "Earth..." he groaned. "ZIM!" he then said in shock. Purple fell to the floor, like they had said the deadliest name in the Galaxy. Oh wait... they did...

"Skylar, did you have to pick the planet with the complete moron!?" Purple asked, when he was back on his feet.

"Look, he may be an idiot," I sighed looking away. "But I trust him, he is my only friend I have made so far," I said.

"That short-stack is nothing but trouble!" my father shouted.

"He is not!" I shouted back. "He has a heart!"

"He's missing a brain..." Purple murmured and looked away, giggling.

"Look, he is a moron. But he is really nice," I said.

"Skylar, do you know why he is on Earth?" my father asked me.

"No, why?" I answered, with a question.

"He blew up most of Irk, so we banished him. He managed to escape and come to the Conventia, when we were assigning missions to the Irks' who deserve them, thinking he was going to get an assignment. We made up his whole mission, to go to Earth so he would leave us alone..." my dad said. I gave him an angry look.

"Dad, that was years ago. He is not the same short and idiotic Irken as back then. He just wants to make you two proud, but you sent him here to get away from him. How cruel can you two get?" I asked in anger. They are his role models, and they do this to him. Poor, blinded Zim.

"Look, it was a cruel thing then. But now, we see it as a..." my dad trailed off.

"Blessing!" Purple added with glee. I scowled at him, and he stopped smiling.

"Plus, knowing how destructive he can be, why send him to a highly populated planet!?" I asked.

"Look honey, he hasn't killed anyone yet," my dad said calmly.

"But he has come close," Purple mentioned, and my dad hit him upside the head. I scowled at my dad, and he huffed.

"Trust me dad, he isn't the same..." I said and went to end the call.
