I don't own Naruto or its characters, but I down own my OC's and plots that I create.

I bolted upright, panting and holding my abdomen. I coughed and groaned. I heard shifting in front of me and above me.

"You ok?" I looked up and saw Kakashi. I nodded and looked forward and saw papa watching me. I looked away and stood. "I'll take over the watch." I mumbled and jumped up next to Kakashi.

"But its Obito's-" I waved him off. "Let him be. Please." I looked at him with pleading eyes. He sighed and nodded. He placed a hand in my shoulder and then left.

I sighed and leaned back on my palms, legs sprawled out in front of me. I shuddered as I remembered the Fox's voice. It sounded so....bloodthirsty. But...he...

"What's wrong?" I jumped and looked over. Dad was sitting next to me. I looked away. "He warned me." Dads eyes widened. "Tell me what he said." I rubbed my face.

"He said that something that was mending was to fall apart from one whole to split in three. One would turn dark. One was to die and the other was supposed to be the light. I don't get it..." I said softly. Dad hummed.

"His power is supposed to be a mystery. Was that all?" I nodded but I felt dads hand under my chin to make me face him. "What else, Dakota?" I shuddered.

"I think I saw his past..." I looked up and saw worry in his eyes. "I saw a lot of blood and bodies." I grimaced at the memories. Dad sighed and pulled me into a hug.

"Are you going to be ok?" I nodded. "Its..not the first time." I saw pain in dads eyes. "I just didn't want to worry you!" I quickly added. He shook his head. "Tell me next time, Dakota. I don't want you to keep that in, ok?" I nodded. "Swear?" He held out his pinky. "Cross my heart, papa." He smiled and kissed my head. I watched him return to his sleeping bag and I turned back to my surroundings. I swear, this Fox has mood swings...

I stayed on watch until everyone was awake. I jumped down and packed my things as Rin re-bandaged Kakashi's shoulder. Dad patted my shoulder and I gave him a smile.

"Hey, Coco?" I hummed at Obito. "Thanks for taking my watch." I turned to him. "Anytime, Obito." He smiled and I swore I saw a slight blush.

"Hey...um..." He looked at me. "I'm sorry for snapping at you yesterday. I was worried." He 'pfft'ed and waved it off. "You were right, though." I shook my head. "It didn't make it right for me to snap. Are we ok?" I held out my hand. He looked around and pulled me into a hug.

"This is for your birthday as well." I chuckled and patted his back. He pulled away and ruffled my hair. "Squirt." I pouted at him and he walked around the rock laughing. I fixed my hair as I joined the others.

"Ok, let's head out." We all nodded and started running. Obito decided to play a little game with us. Who could stay ahead. Rin was too focused on Kakashi and Kakashi wasn't in the mood.

"Hey, Obito." He looked at me. "Race ya." He smirked and we both took off. "Hey-!" I heard the others yell but we ignored them.

An unknown scent crossed my path and I jumped at Obito. I pinned him to a tree and covered his mouth. My eyes darted around and he went stiff.

"I swore I saw two brats." A high voice grumbled. I silently swore. I relaxed and whistled like a bird, (Like off of the hunger games.) signaling Dad that there was an enemy.

'Obito, I need you to stay focused.' I whispered. He nodded and I let go of him. I summoned my Katana's and he readied his Kunia. 'Remember, teamwork.' He curtly nodded and I pointed downwards.
