A Mythical Invasion

The Beginning of it All

Kai's POV:

We were all doing our own thing: Jay and Nya were watching a movie on the couch, Zane cooking dinner, Lloyd and Cole were training on the top deck, and I was just in our shared room. Master Wu and Misako were not in Ninjago at the moment, they were exploring different realms as a type of 'vacation'. 

I didn't really know what I was doing, I was just sitting on the bedside, and just fidgeting with my hair. I mean, I was bored. We haven't been on a mission since the we defeated the cursed realm. Then, the alarm went off and we all rushed to the control room. Nya and Jay ran in, I followed behind them. The others were already there as we ran in. 

"So what's the problem this time?" I asked.

"The radar shows that there is some strange activity going on in Jamanicai Village. It shouldn't need all of us, maybe about 2-3 of us. It doesn't seem to be a big problem." Nya said looking towards us trying to pick who to send. 

"Kai, Lloyd, and Cole, would you guys mind taking this one?"

"Sure, not a problem for me." Cole said.

Me and Lloyd agreed, and went to gear up. We went back to the room, and grabbed our weapons. As I went to grab my sword, I felt another hand grab mine. 

"Oh, Sorry Kai! I reached for my syth at the same time!" Cole said, and for some reason, I felt flustered. 

I just nodded my head and rushed out of the room with my sword. As we walked out, we had to check where Jamanicai Village was. When we found which way we were going, we summoned our elemental dragons and began to fly over to Jamanicai Village.

When we got there, it was a bit spooky. I was behind Lloyd and Cole as we all walked into the village. We were walking through the village, and there was no sign of anybody. 

"Isn't there some kind of event we missed? There doesn't seem to be anybody here." I said trying to state the obvious. I wanted to leave, I didn't get a good feeling from being here.

"Somebody scared?" Cole said trying to tease me. 

"I- No! I'm not scared!" I said, realizing I stumbled in the beginning of it, feeling a bit embarrassed. 

"Guys knock it off, there doesn't seem to be anybody here so let's just walk a bit more then we can go." Lloyd said. Me and Cole nodded our heads in agreement. 

As we walked through, I felt like I was being watched. I kept looking behind me, yet nobody was there. Cole and Lloyd were still in-front of me, when I heard a sound as if someone was walking behind us. I stopped, unnoticed by the others, and was cut off before I could fully turn around.

I felt as my body fell to the ground, as something such as small needle-like-swords were stabbed into the side of my neck. I tried to get up, but it was too strong for me. I then looked from my peripheral vision, and noticed it was a head with two fangs going into my neck. I then started to get dizzy as I heard my friends voices echo through the ringing that I heard through my ears. 

Lloyd's POV:

"So should we just head back?" I asked Cole, who was walking besides me. 

"Sure, what do you say Kai?" Cole said as we both turned around.

"Kai!" we both yelled in unison. We saw as a heavy, pale figure was holding Kai down to the ground. Fangs going into his neck, blood all over Kai's shoulder. 

"Get off Kai!" Cole said as he ran up and pried the 'person' off of Kai. 

I ran over, standing between the figure and my two friends. 

"Who are you!?" I asked the figure getting up from the ground in-front of me. 

"I am a creature...from the mythical realm that you fools let open into this world. This village may have fulfilled my hunger for now...but I will soon spread havoc and crisis to your world..." the figure said. 

"Well, we will see about that!" I yelled as I pinned the figure to a side of a house. 

Then, a cloud moved out of the sun's way, and Jamanicai Village's spooky mists and dark hue went away suddenly, and the figure in my arms began to shriek. 

"No! No! Don't let it touch Me-!", then the figure in my arms fell to the ground as ash.
