A Mythical Invasion

Cole's POV:

I didn't know how to respond...I just stood there like an idiot as I held the bottle of blood in my hands. I just couldn't stop staring at Kai, his ears...eyes...pail skin...teeth...and even his nails were different. 

"This happened from the mission, didn't it?" I asked as I looked down, clenching the bottle in my hand. 

"Yea...it did..."

"Why-"

"Cole-"

"Why didn't you tell me!?"

"Cole!"

Just as Kai screamed my name I realized what I did when a large smell of iron came from my hand. I had quite literally popped open the bottle, now there was blood on the carpet underneath me and all over my hand...continuing up my arm and onto my clothes.

I looked over at Kai who looked not mad, but worried? 

"Don't worry, the other ninja won't find out." I said giving a warm smile, hoping it would calm the red ninja in-front of me. 

"B-But that's what helps me with my more than usual over-the top temper, with how I look, and keeping myself...well...ME!" Kai said as he grew more worried by the looks of it. I felt horrible, I didn't know what to do...but yet...I knew.

I picked up the carpet and headed to my room, making sure there wasn't any blood left in the kitchen. I then signaled Kai to follow me. As we reached my room, I hid all the stuff in a corner of my room as I proceeded to cover it with rocks and etc. 

I turned around to see the fire ninja closing the door behind him, trying his best not to slam it shut. "Where'd you get the blood?"

Kai froze for a minute before turning around, facing the floor. "I...I got it from some random woman in an alleyway in a nearby area...I went when you guys went on that quick mission..."

"There is still a bit from the bottle, just use it for now...okay? We'll figure this out."

"You're not scared...?"

I turned around from hiding the carpet and blood stained gi, "I am." I said bluntly.

Kai looked up a bit confused, yet worry was also sharing that same look. 

"But you are still my brother. You are still the fire ninja. You are still Kai" I said as I have a reassuring smile to the frowning  boy in-front of me. 

Kai nodded just before he left the room with the remaining blood that could be savaged. 

Kai's POV:

The minute I walked into my room I felt an ere feeling. I closed the door behind me and locked it before I proceeded to turn towards a shadowed corner of me room. 

"Who is it this time."

"Oh...that's no way to talk to a lady. Especially someone who's come to help you, more than that old hag who fed you bad information in the alleyway."

"But I'm guessing you do?"

"Precisely. I can help resolve your little...issue."

"You can take this away!?"

"No...but I can help you have almost complete control over it. You could go two weeks without blood...control your appearance and temper...plus.... you would last forever"

"I'm sorry, you were a bit quiet on that last part, what was it?" I asked. I was truly confused, I didn't understand the last bit of what she said.

"Do not worry about it, would you like my help?"

"I won't lash out at my friends, nor hurt them...right?"

"Not if you don't let yourself do so. I will help you...I promise."

"...Alright then." I said as she put her hand forward. I stepped closer and went to shake it, right before it went straight through my chest. The next thing I saw was my own heart in her hand, squished and gone. 

And I guess so was I...yet I just felt sleepy...

not dead quite yet.

Sorry this chapter was cut short, I haven't really worked on this story much at all recently. This draft was from a while ago and I decided to add onto it before ending it for the next chapter to come. I may be off the next 3 weeks due to EOC's and other exams, but this story is still in development!
