After about 30 minutes and being bombarded with Wolves howling past in search of the Luna, I know this is my chance to escape. I heard the JERK of a Beta called the Alpha's, and they're on their way cutting the trip short.
I look around for the nearest escape route and none seem all that delightful with every wolf spread across the territory ready to find me at all cost. I'm beginning to believe I didn't think this through well enough.
"EVERYONE MUST BE ON ALERT THE LUNA IS MISSING I REPEAT THE LUNA IS MISSING" the announcer that seemed to repeat that every 30 seconds seemed more frantic probably wondering what the Alpha's will do when they find out.
I continue to search through the crowd trying to find a way to slip out. I frown seeing none. I mentally curse myself, how could I be so stupid as to-
Lightbulb.
There might be an exit through the prison, my pack had one invade we were ever overrun. I my frown deepens as I remember the pack I grew up with was destroyed by my mates.
We shouldn't run from them my wolf sandy chimes they love us. Yea like a cat loves fleas. You know they d-, I cut her off blocking her from my mind. Lately we haven't been seeing eye to eye, which kinda sucks her being my wolf in all.
I looked into the
Dark prison sucked in my breath, because it probably smells in there, and walk in. The prison isn't what I imagined, it was ten times worse the cracked concrete roof was leaking and decayed. The floors with splatters of dried blood no one bothered to clean.
There were at least 20 cells, each had iron bars, there was no beds just chains linking the prisoner to the wall in each cell. Of course all the cells were full, some even had three prisoners.I walked quietly trying not to drag attention to myself. Which was really tough with the sirens having already woke up every prisoner. There eyes glued to watching my every move. I, in no hurry observed each prisoner carefully. Some were big burly men with scars on there and in no doubt it looked they belonged here. But other I was skeptical a few cells down I girl no older than six curdled in a corner, a young boy looking the age of twelve held her as if to protect her from me. They must be siblings, how did they get here. I kept walking eyeing them, the boy looked very protective but weak as well as if I could just flick him and he'd tumble to the ground. The girl was another thing, she looked so fragile like she'd broke long ago her golden hair matted to her small head.
Her deep blue eyes pierced my soul, the boy swiveled his head to block her from view. He had light brown hair and dark grey eyes, though they didn't look much alike they were definitely related.I continued down a few more cells, until something stopped me an older woman with familiar light brown hair and blue eyes stared me down. She looked frightened, but I'd know that look anywhere. The resemblance was no coincidence she was the mother, of the two kids. My heart panted at the loss of my own. Suddenly rage took over.
How dare they separate a mother and her children in jail. I talked this deed against the Twins.
I looked at her, to see she had turned from me to look in the direction of her children. Following her gaze I realized that part of her cell was blocked of,
she couldn't see them. Guilt ran through me how horrible it must not being able to see them. "They're okay" I whispered not knowing if she was paying attention, but the grateful glance she threw me told otherwise. The anger know fueling me I marched on down the prison ready to leave this place. Not just the prison but my mates. I saw a door and made my way towards it. But again something stopped me, to my right I felt eyes piercing through me, different from the others.
I slowly turned my head to see a man about my age, staring me down with piercing blue eyes. Unlike the others who observed me he studied me, watching my every move like his life depended on it.
But that wasn't it that's not what's getting under my skin it the mark over his eye. I squint to see it better, I nearly fell over in shock when I saw the shape of a crescent moon. He was a healer.
Pac doctors and healers are completely different. Pac doctors help the pac medically though they can't fix everything, but healers. Healers can fix anything with the wave of a finger, if a pac had a healer it was unstoppable. Why would they keep there's in jail.He knew I knew what he was but his expression didn't change, it was blank still studying. He had black hair, or maybe that was just all the dirt in it, matted to his head. He had perfect cheek bones that went evenly with his jawline. I would have stared longer but the look he is giving me is getting under my skin.
I turned to the door which was right in front and yanked it open.
There was no exit, but something horrifying caught my eye a body blood covered the barely bleeding creature.
It's body abused, weapons with matching blood sat on a table to my right. I knew this person. Christoph .
