Now here we are Christoph seems to be okay, the insane healing salesman is just jolly, and we're all here gathered in a underground dungeon. Peachy.
Well this sucks. No that's a understatement, we're trapped in a dungeon and can't leave because we'd be caught. So I don't know what to call it, but this situation trumps sucky.
I guess we'll hang around here. "I know the exit" a voice whispered. I looked up to see the woman a few cells down, glancing back to see that Christoph was talking to the Healer. I made my way down to her cell "I know the exit" she repeated. "Why are you in here" I asked cautiously. Her eyes clouded with sorrow "My husband used to be a warrior of this pack, back then the Alphas were just beginning to take over other packs. Then all they did was fight them and kill their Alpha, the remaining pack members would join us or become rogues. One day the Alphas asked the Warriors to start killing off entire packs. My mate thought this was wrong, he argued that it would kill of mates of members in our pack and to many innocents would die, not to mention the children. I convinced him to confront the Alphas about his views. Because he questioned them they held him for treason, he was beheaded and they threw my children and I in here."
That makes sense some packs charge family with ones crimes, it's so pack members are less inclined to commit crimes. "It's all my fault, I told him to go and talk them, Its my fault" she began to sob. Guilt flooded over me as all I did was watch this poor woman break down. After a few minutes she begun to wipe her tears and put herself back together. "I can help you escape, please just let my children and I go" she said and I nodded, her face became serious. "The keys are over there" she pointed to the wall only a few feet away. I hurried over there, grabbed the keys and went to unlock her cell, "The children first" she smiled.I hurriedly went to their cell. I unlocked the door, and their chains in moments and then did the same with the mother. "This way" she signaled as she walked out of the cell. Her and her children began down the hallway, I looked at Christoph and the healer who had been watching the situation. "She's planning on betraying us" the Healer whispered. "There is no 'us'" I argued, "She will betray you" he continued. "No, she's not your insane, come on" I said. The Healer didn't deny he was insane but neither of them moved. "Christoph you can't seriously believe this." I have him a cold hard stare and could see his discomfort towards my gaze. He finally followed after an so did I, not bothering for the Healer. Soon I heard his footsteps follow us as well.
The woman led us to a passage I hadn't known existed, her children hobbled behind her. She had been to hasty to greet them, probably wanted to get out first. After a few twists and turns we were in a plain room the door closed behind us and large red button lay ahead. I know clique.
"This opens an exit out of the territory" the women stated referring to the large button. Her hand leaned down to press it, Healer rushed forward to stop her but I grabbed him. "She's going to betray us" he said but it was too late. The button wasn't a exit but a call button and just as quickly as she pushed it she told who ever was on the other end our location.I was baffled, shocked really. Christoph said a question worth answering "Why?", the reason truly wasn't hard to get your head around. "There's no way y'all will escape with hundreds of wolves covering the territory searching for you. So my best bet is to get on the Alphas good side and be accepted back into the pack. Don't take it personally, I want my children to have better lives. This was my only option." she explained. Healer's eyes flared with anger he turned into his wolf and he lunged at her digging his teeth into her chest. She went limp in seconds.
I didn't even bother with that I was to busy wondering what the Alphas will do when they find us here. Even if we run now we'd never make it, they'd be here in moments. A few seconds later the Alphas burst through the door as expected. They grabbed me and pulled me towards them. Warriors came behind them grabbing the children, Christoph and undoubtedly the Healer.
My mind was racing and I was getting dizzy. Stress and worry overwhelmed me and my vision faded into to what it began in. Darkness.
