Lisa's POV

I silently sat there, wishing the walls of the pack house weren't sound proof. My mind wandered about the celebration they were preparing at home. My boyfriend Bryan, my little sister, and a couple of other pack members went out on a seven hour journey (because we live in the middle of no-where) to go get supplies. For... my birthday, yes it's in a couple of days June 6, to be exact, an I shall take over the pack with Bryan as the Alpha.

Ok let me take a couple steps back here, my boyfriend and I are not exactly mates an we haven't done...you know. His mate died, from a rogue attack. An since I haven't found my mate yet we agreed, if I didn't find my mate by my twenty-first birthday we would find a Mage to form a mate like bond between us. My little sister Sarah is a six year old angel, she is so sweet and her voice... Well it melts your heart like chocolate.

I was snapped from my thoughts when I heard the door swing open an someone stormed towards me. I stood, an quickly whirled around to see my dad approaching at a fast pace. His tear stained cheeks told me he knew everything about mom, but with the look on his face he wasn't sad any more, he was in a state of pure rage.

As he approached, a luxurious smell wafted towards me like pine and... mmmm chocolate milk chocolate to be exact. I didn't get to see the scents owner before *SMACK* my head was tossed to the side with a huge slap. Tears pooled in my eyes, I expected that kind of reaction, but it still hurt. He rambled on about how I knew and let him leave her to come here.

But I wasn't focused on him more the two twins sexy twins, 'mate's' my mind screamed. They looked in pure rage like they were about to kill someone an then I remembered my dad's actions. An by the look of it my dad realized it to since his face was overtaken with regret. "I'm s-" he began to apologize to me and started to move into a hug, but he was cut off by the two Alphas. "Mate" one of them growled, "YOU HURT OUR MATE" the other screamed, my dad's eyes widened with fear as the twins shifted into wolf form an charged towards him. Then I knew it was all over.

Danny and I, stood there admiring a mate. *SMACK* her father slap was a horrific sound, an it took everything in my power not to rip him to shreds. Keep calm, you an I both know she might never forgive us for destroying her pack and what will happen if we kill her father? Danny reasoned. The thought of our mate hating us kept us there. But when her expression pained an tears flowed down her sweet cheeks, I knew the whole control thing was over for both of us.

My dad quickly shifted to a wolf an dodging them an fleeing into the nearest part of the forest he could find, attempting to outrun them. Though at the speed the twins were going it'd only be a matter if seconds. I quickly shifted chasing after them, following their scent, I reached them just in time to watch my father be ripped to shreds. You could barely tell what the creature once was, all his organs dangling out of his body, paws chewed off, tail hanging by a thread. But it took a lot to kill a wolf even more to kill an alpha, so it was a miracle he was still alive. But as soon as I saw the twins circling him, I knew he was a goner. Help, he needs help, but no one in the right of mind would intercept an Alpha battle. My mind must be pretty messed up, because what I did next even shocked me. I lunged to protect my father, just in time to receive the twins final blow. An everything edged into darkness.
