VIRUSHKA: The Fairytale

Chapter 4: MEETING THE TEAM

Third Person POV:
Anushka with her ever so confident walk paved her way towards the group who was waiting for her. That Beautiful jumpsuit and sunglasses on her eyes were giving a perfect 'boss lady vibe'. She stopped just few steps before the group, removed her glasses and greeted them with her brightest smile. "Good Morning everyone, I am Anushka Sharma, the new manager of the team". The whole group reciprocated her greetings with even brighter smiles. MS forwarded his hands for a handhake saying
"Hi Anushka, I am MS Dhoni, the captain of the team.I welcome you to this team" Anushka shakes hands with Mahi while saying
"Thank you sir and I am Glad to meet you."
If it was any other meeting, Mahi would have asked Anushka to not call her sir, but bhai.. but today, his juniors have strictly prohibited him so he have to bear with his not so favourite 'Sir'.
"Anushka, this is my team, the Indian team. Let me introduce them to you one by one....." then Mahi ordered them to get divided into three groups- batsman, bowler and all rounders. And the group very sincerely did so. Anushka was witnessing this and her sharp observation skills told her how important Mahi is to the group.
"They are the bowlers, u know what bowlers are? Right.." Anushka just nodded and Mahi continued with the introduction session.
"This is Bumrah, Meet Bhuvneshwar, Shardul".....and this way he made her meet everyone other than Rohit and Virat. Coming towards Rohit, Mahi said "and he is Rohit Sharma, he is......" and when Rohit was hoping for a good introduction, mahi continued "Virat's bestfriend... that's his biggest achievement till date" and other than Rohit everyone was laughing their hearts out leaving Anushka confused as she doesn't know who Virat is... Then It was turn for Virat to be introduced.

Virat's POV:
The girl who is our manager came to us. She was a pretty girl having an infectious smile but the most amazing thing was her confidence and the aura around her. She sweetly greeted us and Mahi bhai introduced her to everyone in the team. Then Mahi bhai and miss manager came towards me and Mahi bhai said "Meet Virat Kohli, Vice captain of our team. He is the biggest embassador of Indian cricket at the moment. And his worst achievement is that he is the best friend of Rohit Sharma" and again we all were laughing, but this time the lady in front of me was also giggling. She forwarded her hands saying "Good to meet you sir, I am looking forward to work with you and the team. I hope we will have great time working together" I replied with "that depends on how you work" I knew I was being rude but I was having my own reasons to be. I was expecting a hurt or atleast a weird expression from her but I was given a smile and she continued with saying "definitely sir, I know what I am here for. I will just work to lessen your discomforts. And I hope I can fulfill my responsibilities. I have been shown immense trust by Dada and BCCI so I will work hard and I can assure you that." I was if not impressed but atleast assured that she is better than our previous manager.

Anushka's POV:
The introduction session went pretty well. I could sense that the team is a close knit family. Lastly I met Virat and his words did amaze me but It was okay. I was happy that he straight forwardedly said it to me as I was feeling he had something to say. I replied him and went back to Mahi Sir, he told me that they will practice for around 3 hours and then they have organised an official lunch with the team at a hotel. Till the time they practice, I thought of taking a look at my work. So, I just excused myself to bring my iPad from car.

Mahi bhai POV:
As Anushka moved towards her car, I told Cheeku to not to be rude but he straight away said that he wasn't rude but clear. I knew that the team has asked me to not gel up with the manager but my years of experience tells me that this girl is not what the boys have made her to be. She looks very focused and hard working and will very soon have her own place in the team.

Anushka's POV:
I was in a room where all the players have kept their stuff, with ipad in my hand. And I was making a list of things needed to be done. I saw that the room was clearly not in a good state, so I just mentioned it in my list. Then, I moved towards the ground where 3 people were standing who were introduced to me as the coaches and support staff. I greeted them and took necessary informations about practice sessions. I then went towards Mahi Sir and asked him whether I can have the list of brands endorssed by individual players and whole team. He said "Yes, you can. But, you need not to do this. This is what personal managers do and we can't burden you with managing 15 people" . I replied that I love my job to be done perfectly and completely. It's my job to handle your daily routine and manage your time and if for that, I have to look after every Individual then, it's no big deal. The motive is to manage your time with efficiency. He passed me a gentle smile and told me where I can get the lists.

Virat's POV:
I saw Anushka talking to mahi bhai and he was clearly impressed . I also looked at what she was doing many times and every time, I just found her engrossed in her work. She looked compelety in another world. This brought a sense of relief to me, that if not anything, she is definitely determined towards her work. We completed our tiring practice session and headed to the dressing room and she again greeted all of us with an exciting voice. I was sure that by now, her little gestures must have won everyone's heart and all of them must have forgotten what we decided as my Bros are just too good to not befriend someone. When we all were managing our stuff, she was doing her work in her iPad. Then, Mahi bhai told all of us to get to the team bus that will take us to the hotel for the lunch. She came towards bhai and asked if she can come by her own car and Mahi bhai agreed. And In no time, we were sitting in a hotel's lobby as there was some issue with our entries.
