Chapter 40

Danny's POV

Every time I heard Avah's annoying voice it felt like my head was going to explode. All I could do here was to sit with a face smile while (Y/n) talked with her "family". I couldn't believe that once I finally get rid of those waste of air more just pop out. Right now she should just be adoring me while treating me like a god but she was too busy. I was extremely angry that she told Avah about this place! I needed to have a talk with her about this once they leave...

"What do you think Danny?" This caught my attention which made me turn my gaze from my cup of coffee to (Y/n) who had a little smile on her beautiful face. "I'm sorry I was thinking about one thing from work. What was the question?" Her smile turns into understanding one as she lifts her hand over my shoulder and gives it an understanding squeeze. "I understand. I wanted to know your opinion on outdoor wedding."

I smile at her question as take a hold on her hand and bring it to my lips. "Whatever your heart decides babe. I'm happy to marry you even in a trash can" I give her hand a kiss which makes an adorable blush form on her cheeks. "Oh you!" She presses a kiss on my forehead which made me happy. I knew that she couldn't resist me! "You two are just adorable!" Eva says as she almost claps. Now I could see where Avah got that from...

Peter has watched me all this time. I knew that he might not like journalists too much since we always make them look bad when they don't solve something. "I know. He's the love of my life." (Y/n) says which made me smile. I was! But now I needed to get off some steam. "I'm going to my office to write. Tell me once you leave so I can come and say goodbye." I get up from my seat which makes (Y/n) smile at me.

"Okay! I love you." I lean down so I could place a kiss on top of her head. "Love you too." I turn to look at our "guests" And give them a nod. "Nice to meet you all. See you some other time." They all wave me goodbye but I see that Avah was looking at me with unhappy look on her face. I needed to deal with her but not now. "Have fun." I say to them before I leave. I wanted to kill all of them!

Once I get to my office I make sure that the door was locked. I walk over to the desk where I placed my bag before. I start digging out the papers that had articles about the Butcherer. I can't believe that I was reading about something other than me! There were many articles about him in so many different papers and magazines. I needed to study more about something that I was against. I needed to be BETTER than him!

After reading different things I could see that this guy was strange. Other times he would be clean with his victims, only killing them with a clean manner and other time he would rip his victims into pieces. Stealing their organs and other body parts. It made people fear him since the victim's family couldn't get everything of them loved ones in the grave. Once he even took one of his victims head... Or ate their bodies... That was just nasty!

I look at the cases and just shake my head. There was no way I could let him win in my town. And if he tried that, he was in for a nasty surprise. I lift one of the articles that had his picture in them. He was holding one of his victims upward by the hair. The picture was taken like he was some kind of a hunter who wanted to take a picture with their prey. He was such a show off that it made me feel sick. My pictures weren't as awful than these ones!

There was a knock on the door which made me turn to look at it. "Danny. Our guests are leaving." (Y/n) says from the other side. I could hear the happiness in her voice because she met more people that belonged to her so-called long-lost family. "I'm coming soon!" I say to her which made her hum happily before she leaves from the door. I turn to look at the photo of that copycat. I take my knife and slam it on the photo right at that stupid mask. "Piece of shit..." I whisper before I leave the room.
