We must have spent half an hour at least just playing around in the water, laughing, giggling... choking when a wave caught us off guard and knocked us down. " urghhh" I manage to splutter before I go back  under a passing wave. I feel free, in the sea the capitol cannot get me, me or Annie, it’s my safe haven, they once tried to stop anyone going to the beach unless it was for fishing purposes only, and even that was just to fish for the capitol, all they ever want is more of our produce, there are crippled people starving in the street because they cannot fish. Even though were nicknamed “the careers" and thought of as having loads of food and super fit, a lot of us aren’t "well off" we practically fight for our food, it’s just luck that my dad trained me how to use a trident at a young age. It brought food home for my family and, in the arena, saved me from death. I practically owe my life to it.

I jump up from the waves, my home and look for Annie, She's over by some rock's. I think she is looking for something so I swim over, ducking under passing waves so I don’t get pushed back to the shore. Wow she seems to be ages away. Must be something important. I've had to be swimming for at least five minutes, how long was I under the water, 3, maybe 4 minutes. It's a good job I can hold my breath for long periods of time."Ha-ha," I chuckle to myself before gulping in a mouthful of water. My nickname back at school used to be fish boy because I swam the longest and held my breath for longer than anyone else.

I finally reach her, practically panting. “What’s the matter with you?" She questions."Well, if you swim to rock's practically half a mile away without telling me, I’m going to be a little worried" I reply, Now it’s my turn to question.  ”Anyway how did you get here so fast?" She’s quick but she was never that quick. “Dolphin’s." Plain and simple answer. "Oh" I reply. She giggles at my simpleness, a cute, playful laugh that means no harm.

“What were you looking for?” “Well I was told there were oyster’s here and I was going to get some for our tea, help me look?” “Of course” I reply. Just under the surface of the water there are dozens of them, we start to gather the largest one, the ones that will actually fill us up not act as snacks. However we realise that we can’t carry all of them in our hands, but luckily for us I always carry a net bag with me in my pocket, I grab it and we dump all the oysters and then go back for a few more. Under the water I spot a hole, a perfect hole for a crab to hide. I have no fear when it comes to aquatic animals… Well maybe when they shoot out of nowhere and take me by surprise. I’m glad non do. I feel the rough and pointy spikes of the crabs back, get a firm hold and drag him out. “Wow that’s a big one, chuck him in!” exclaimed Annie. “I think we are done now” I say and look up at her, silent as she does the same to me. Then she asks “Can we head back in?" "I’m getting cold." I nod and we swim back, slowly but together.
