9 Get up, Clem!

Flash back dream

AJ lifted up the ax straining from the weight. AJ closed his eyes. He lifted the ax above him. I closed my eyes too. For a second he stopped so I opened eyes. AJ quickly slammed the ax down on my leg.

For a second I didn't know what happened. "AJ!" And more blood pored out of my leg. I began to scream. I felt more tears come form my eyes. I grabbed my leg."Iam sorry Clem! I didn't mean to!I have an idea, maby it'll work!"  He slammed it again. My leg was separated from my body. "AJ! What the fuck-!"  I held on to my half cut of leg. Walkers were growling much lower reaching there hand threw the bars. "Come on, Clem! We gotta go!! Louis should be here soon!" He ran to the walker having guts in his hand and wiped it on my face. The smell made me gag, as it filled my nostrils.

I felt sweat poor from my forehead.
AJ ran to me holding and pushing me up. "We gotta go, come on Clem, please!" He pleaded. I was silent still trying to comprehend what just happened. I laid above his arm, my leg almost dragging. He pushed me upward on the rope. "Can you climb it?" I asked. "I don't know." I said under my breath. I climbed up the rope.

I felt nauseous. Reaching my hand on the roof. AJ climbed after me. "We're going to have to jump!" AJ said pointing at the ground. "I can't..." I said my vision getting blurry. "Please! You have to try!"
AJ jumped, when he fell to the ground, he reached his arms out. "I'll help you!" He yelled. I got to the end of the roof, I tried jumping with both legs but remembered I can't. I feel to the ground. AJ out his arm around my arm pits. "Come on!" He grabbed a stick and handed it to me. I used it for better ballence.
"AJ... I don't feel good." I said letting out a scream of pain.

AJ had one arm arcoss my side. AJ pointed upward.
"There's Louis!" I looked up. Louis was covered in guts himself. "Clem, what the hell happened?!" He ran closer. "She got bit, and I cut off her leg." AJ looked at me. I was breathing hard and fast. "Here I got her! Go run and get Ruby! NOW!" Louis picked me up his right arm under my leg and my stump. "Clem, are you ok?" He ran, but not fast. "Hu?" I asked. I looked around. Wincing when I looked at my leg. "Clem, stay with me!" Louis voice sounded different, scratchy almost. "Clem...I love you. I can't loose you! " Louis rubbed his head on top of mine. "Iam sorry, Clem."

I couldn't make out what he was saying. "Your going to be fine....fine. ok?" He started to cry. "It's ok...it's going to be ok." He kept saying. I felt so tierd. I rested my head on his chest as he carried me.

"Louis... Just stop. I c-cant make it threw this." I said

"You can!"

I fell asleep, excepting my fate, this was it, at least I was with someone I loved, so I closed my eyes.

Louis pov
Ruby walked out of the door, Crossing her arms. "I cauterized the leg, stitched up what I could." She paused. "I tied her up, in case, of..." She said. "In case she turns."

I sighed. "Is she awake?" I asked. "No. She passed out from shock." She looked down. "Iam going in there with her." I said. "Just be careful, ok. When she wakes up...if she wakes up, she might not know what's going on."

I opened the door, grabbing a chair, and sat down at the end of her bed. I grabbed her hand. "Iam so sorry." I barred my face in the bed. "Please wake up." I squeezed her hand." Her body felt lifeless. "Iam sorry." I wiped the teir that went to my chin. I was about to fall asleep my face still buried in the bed the blanket scratchy and itchy. My hand was being squeezed. I looked up. Clem was smiling. "Holy shit." I hugged her hiding my face in her neck. "Hey, Lou." She rapped her arm around me. I looked at her hand that was tied to the bed. "Here let me get that." I reached for it. She moved her other arm around me. "I thought you were gone." She put her hand on my head. "Me too." She kissed my cheek. I kissed her back on the lips this time. "How do you feel?"
"It hurts."
I put my arm around her. "Iam sorry."

"No. It wasn't your fault. Let's not talk about that, can you just hold me?"
She layed her head on my chest. "Just stay here, please." She closed her eyes. I stayed there with her. "I love you, Louis." She mumbled. Before she drifted off to sleep.

Present time

I opened my eyes and blinked for a moment. I sighed. "Just a dream..." I sat up, and grabbed my fake leg that laid next to my bed. I slided it up in my leg grabbed the rope and tied it around 3 times and made a knot. I got up and slowly, and went to the office to talk to Louis about May, and Isaac, from what he thought of from last night. I walked to my door and headed outside. Everyone was still there, Isaac and May. May was laughing, and Isaac, well he was laughing too. The walker heads were cleaned up and the "fuck raider's!" sign was down. I rubbed my leg that still hurt. "Hey, Clem. You ok?" Ruby asked. " Iam alright, I geus, tierd."

"How's your leg? I did the best I could for it, we should be able to take out the stitches, next week." She smiled. "Yeah, that would be cool ."

"But really Clem, are you ok? You've been acting strange for the past few days, and that's saying something." She tryed to make eye contact. "Yeah, Iam fine, Ruby." I got annoyed. "Well, ok, Hun. Let me know if your leg starts hurting bad again." She walked off to talk to Aasim. "Nu, uh I won!" Willy pointed at his cards. "See?" He pointed again. "This game sucks!" AJ crossed his arms. "Yeah, what he said!" May smiled. AJ looked at the my direction. "Clem! Your awake!" He skipped to me. "Hey, goofball!" He was wearing the hat, I gave him. "Isaac, said he went to go see that baseball game a long time ago when he was little! What's baseball?" He touched the hat to adjust it. "Well, kiddo it's a sport, I don't know much about it, my friend Javier new All about it." I rubbed my neck straining it from looking down. "You would have loved him, he was cool, you would have liked Gabe too, that was his nephew." I smiled. "You would have liked them both." I crossed my arms, and put my hands on my knees. "Another long day." I thought.
