23 Finally home

Clem's pov

I woke up to someone rubbing my head, like my mom used to do when I was sick. I wasn't in the dark room anymore, I was with. "Louis?" I asked. And he opened his eyes "Clem? Your awake!" He kissed my nose. "How are you feeling?" He asked. "I hurt." Is all I said. "Were do you hurt?" He asked getting up from the bed a little. "Everywhere." I sat up. Looking at my hands, there were rapped up in cloth. "Well, shit." I said. "Ruby brought in your crutches a few hours ago. We couldn't find, your other one." He said. " May took them, is she alive?" I asked. "No, while you were asleep yesterday day night, we took care of it." He said. "Did you kill.." I trembled. "Did you kill Trevor?" I asked. "Yes, we did, don't worry about that, ok?" He said carefully rubbing my palm. "I thought...I would never see you again, Lou." I hugged him. "I thought you were gone." He hugged me back. "You in the mood to go outside?" He asked. "I think so."
Louis got up and grabbed my crutches and handed it to me. "God, I fucking hate this." I said putting the pieces of wood under my arms. Louis opened the door, and helped me get outside. "It's a lot warmer than it was a few days ago."

"Good, I missed warm weather."

Louis opened the outside door and I walked down the steps. Feeling warm air lightly touch my face "Clem!" Violet called out and everyone looked at, followed Violet, and hugged me. "Good morning, Clem." Omar smiled. "Just in time too, I made breakfast." He walked to his cooking corner

"Your awake!" Willy and Aj said at the same time. "Hi guys." I hugged them both. "Hey, Clem." It was Javi. I hugged him. "Iam so sorry, Clem, Iam so sorry, honey. Are you feeling ok?" He asked. "If Iam be honest, I don't know right know, but thank you Javi."

"Alright, feel better ok?" He walked off going to his spot were he usually sat, the spot were Jesus died, and where he was burred.

"Good morning' " Ruby smiled with her hand on her hip. "Morning, Ruby." I smiled which revealed my missing tooth. "I uh, sorry bout' that, I didn't know about a missing tooth." Ruby said. I stopped smiling a bit. "It's okay Ruby Iam just glad to be home."

I saw a new grave next to the steps of the school and it was carved out that said. "Rosie. R.I.P" I closed my eyes almost seeing her death All over again. "Who's, that?" I asked looking at the couch, A man leaning over with his hands on his forehead, like he was thinking. "That's, Josh, he's the guy who stitched you up when you were..." He paused. "At that place." He finished."

"Was he with, T- That M- man- before, is he still-" I couldn't even finish. "Clem, don't think about that, ok? He was against him, that's all we know."

" Last time we trusted anyone, it nearly killed all of us, and it did kill ONE of us." I said getting angry. "I know, that Clem, and Iam sorry, but we had too, it's one more adult, and another person, with medical experience." He said putting his hand in my shoulder. "Don't fucking touch me!" I relised I blew up at him. "Iam sorry, Louis."

"I- Iam so sorry." And I hugged him hiding my face in his collar in his coat.

He hugged me putting his hand on the back of my head. "No, don't be. It was my fault. I love you, Clementine, I love you so much."

"I love you, too, Louis."

"Iam going to talk to Josh, I think." I walked over to the couch sitting in the wooden chair Infront of him. "Thank you." I said. "Your welcome, kid. But what for?" He asked. "Helping me."
I could finally see him, he had blue eyes, and he looked about Javier's age late 30s, he had blond hair, not like Violet's, but more yellow, and the same scar as Trevor's, the weird "forced smile" thing. "Didn't mean to scare your kid." he said looking at AJ, who was playing catch, with Willy. "He got scared?" I asked. "A little, he asked me what it meant."
"What does it?" I asked. "Breaking a rule, I tried to escape before, and they give you the fucking cat smile from, 'Alice in fucking Wonder Land.' That's what, and 'You know who' did, he broke a rule, too."

"Ah, I see. Iam sorry." I said. (Truth be told I didn't want to know what rule Travis broke so I didn't ask)"Don't be, kid, I guess Iam happy to be out of that's place." He looked back up. "Your cut's looking better." He said. "That's good? So, no one is coming back from there?" I asked. "While you were out, me and your friends took care of it, there not coming back."

"That's good, I geuss." I thought. Maby a lot of them didn't deserve it, but still. "Well, your welcome to stay here." I added. "No. Maby. I don't know, I was only here to see you wake up, and see if your ok." He looked back down. "Well, at least stay to eat if you leave or when you get back on your feet. We can give you some supplies, blankets, and water, if you want it." I said. "No, I'll be fine. Thank you, though." He smiled. "I got some things from my camp." He looked at a small bag next to him. "I'll talk to you later, Clementine." Josh said. I nodded and walked off. "Hi, Clem!" AJ smiled. "Hey, buddy."
"Iam glad it's warmer outside, today."

"Yeah, that always helps."

"So, what happened?" AJ asked. "What do you mean?"

"When you were taken." He finished. "I don't really want to talk about it, buddy." I looked around trying to find something to change the subject on. "Oh, ok. Iam glad your back!" He said. "Me too. I'll talk to you later, AJ." I said. I walked to the benches and sat down next to Louis and Violet. "Hi, Clem." Violet looked up from a paper she was drawing from. "Hi. What are you doing?" I asked. "It's around Ten's birthday. And I wanted to make him a card... or something."

"Yeah? That's really sweet." I said. "Iam sorry guy's." I apologized. "For what?"

"Killing Rosie."
"That's wasn't your fault." They finished. "It was though, that's the thing, I couldn't keep her quite, maby if I could, she would still be here!"

"No. Try not to think about it, ok?" Violet said. "I cant. I just can't."

"Clem, listen...it wasn't your fault, if anything it's mine I should have stayed with you, you might not have gotten taken, and..." Louis paused. "Goddamn it, it wasn't your fault." He finished.
