Kokomi POV

"Oi! Wake up Kokomi.

- Huh? Why am I always sleeping these days?

- Don't ask me man I'm not your doctor. Anyway, are you hiding something?

- Like what, because I'm hiding many things.

- Are you and Sara dating?"

My eyes widened. I guess that's really how a best friend is. He knows everything. I smiled and laughed before answering his question:

"No, I wish we were though. I'm lesbian Gorou.

- I KNEW IT! YOUR PLAYLIST IS 90% GIRL IN RED HAHA!

- What made you ask though?

- I guess it's the fact you're always acting different with Sara, like at that Halloween party and the times when she came to this cafe. Not to mention when she had a gay panic the other day near you and said something very insulting but you didn't mind.

- Woah, it was that obvious?!

- Yeah it was."

We both paused for a moment before laughing. A few customers looked at us smiling.

"What's all this ruckus about? asked Kazuha as he came out of the kitchen, a hand on his hips.

- She realized."

He didn't even seem shocked, only saying a faint "congrats" and nodding before going back to the kitchen. Noelle didn't even have to ask, she too knew and hugged me tightly before telling me that she was glad that I entrusted this information with all of them.

Sara POV

I looked out the window and could make out the distant faces of Kokomi and Gorou having a conversation while laughing. Barely a few seconds later, the chef joined them and so did Noelle, although they only exchanged a word or two before they both went back to their business.

What the hell is happening there? Not that I care. Besides, I won't ever get to ask since I'm avoiding anyone from there at all costs.

Everyone just seemed so happy. Kokomi seemed happy. Why isn't she happy when I'm there? Surely because I make no effort to make her happy. Yeah. That's it.
                                                                        
"Listen goddamnit!"

I turned around, startled, but it was only an angry customer on the phone yelling at someone. Out of boredom, I looked at the other customers. 

There was a boy with very dark green hair who was talking to Venti while he snacked on a tofu dish.

A young man on the computer, seeming very focused.

What a boring, bland, day. At the other place, it seems to be the opposite, even though now nothing is going on anymore, it still seems more lively than whatever is happening here.

If only something were to happen...(I'm begging at this point)

Time skip

My shift is ending very soon, still, nothing interesting has happened. Waiting...waiting...waiting...it ended.

I remove my apron and tell the others goodbye before leaving. However, on my way to my house, I encounter a certain pink-haired individual, great. I mean, I should be grateful she is at least bringing some spice to this boring day.

"Hi, Sara! 

- Oh uh, hi, Kokomi.

- How are you?

- Doing fine, what about you?

- I'm doing great!"

There was an awkward silence that lasted a few minutes before she finally spoke up.

"I'm not doing anything today, are you?

- I'm not busy either. My roommate has her girlfriend coming over again, and I don't want to be around for that. 

- Oh! Um...maybe we could hang out a bit? I know we're rivals and all, but it wouldn't hurt to make new friends!

- Uh-Sure sure! I-i'll just get dressed and then we could go because this outfit isn't the comfiest.

- Ok! I will too, see you! 

- Yeah I'll go there to pick you up!"

WHY DID I SAY YES? When I'm around her, my mouth seems to move on its own, what got into me? I sighed and headed towards my apartment.

Once I arrived, I headed in and saw- surprise surprise- Raiden and Miko once again sitting and sharing some snacks. Why is it that whenever Kokomi's around, they're around too?

"You seem pretty nervous, what happened?

- Kokomi and I are going to hang out. 

- Oh relax, I was nervous on my first date too, it's perfectly normal! Yae said while she winked at Raiden.

- I'm not going on a date! And stop acting as if you two are my moms or something.

- Glad to know you see us in that way."

I felt my face become warm, and I ran to get my clothes and change before I could embarrass myself any longer. I just put on a casual outfit really, just something you could wear every day to see a friend.  No, of course, it's not the stereotypical "hoodie with sweatpants". 

Instead, the outfit I put on was a black t-shirt with a white collared shirt inside. For the bottom, I wore some light brown jeans, and there! 

I didn't bother to look at the mirror and took a bag that I filled with some essentials and left.

Kokomi POV

Gorou was looking at me weirdly when I arrived home, it seemed like a smug smirk as if he knew what was happening. Might as well tell him!

" In case you're wondering, yes I'm going to hang out with Sara.

- Well good luck with that or something, what do you want me to say? Like am I supposed to go full-on "Fuck out my way when you see me, I'm rollin' with the LGBT"?

- Wha-no...? I mean thanks I guess?"

He laughed and that smug look returned on his face. I rolled my eyes and went to change. I made sure to put on the best yet simplest outfit I can.
