Sara POV

I woke up late, rubbing my eyes and yawning while looking at the bright window. The sun hurt my eyes. I looked to my side and got off my bed, putting on my slippers while I walked to the bathroom to watch my face.

When I went to the kitchen, Raiden wasn't there. Maybe she is still asleep, or maybe she went out with Yae once more? I noticed a plate on the table with some burnt bread and a note.

Eat up, that's all I can make. I'm hanging out with Zhongli and Venti.

I rolled my eyes. Of course, it's those two. Frankly, I didn't know where they could go, none of them have enough money to go far. I also noticed a young boy sitting in my living room, watching Neon Genesis Evangelion on my Netflix account.

"Hey. What the hell are you doing here?

- Huh? Oh. I'm Xiao. Zhongli's son. Since Venti was out, Ganyu had to visit her girlfriend, and I refuse to stay with that dumbass named Childe, I decided to stay here. Don't mind me.

- Don't mind you?! You're at my house. I'm in pajamas. I have someone coming over later. I can't just leave you here!

- Actually, you can just leave me here."

I rolled my eyes and prepared a cup of coffee. No one was coming over, it was simply an excuse to get him to leave.

I decided to spend the day on my laptop. Who knows, maybe I really could invite someone over. But who...? My only friend is Raiden.

Kokomi.

I could invite Kokomi!

I picked up my phone and sent her a quick text. I waited for a few minutes, acting as if I was having a staring contest with my phone before she finally answered.

Sara: Hey can you come over today?

Kokomi: Sure! What time?

Sara: 3:00?

Kokomi: I'm good with that! See you!

I let out a scream of joy inside and looked around to make sure that boy wasn't staring at me creepily. He seemed so absorbed in his show.

Quickly, I grabbed a few random clothes and rushed to the bathroom. The outfit looked decent, less than amazing, however.

Time skip because the hospital is lit

The doorbell rang. I rushed out of my room and opened the door, happy to see Kokomi standing in front of me. She smiled, and let herself in.

Xiao looked at me with wide eyes, he seemed surprised.  He mouthed something that I didn't understand, so I approached him and he whispered:

"Is that your girlfriend? Isn't that the girl from that other cafe?"

I glared at him while mouthing "no" and turned my attention back to Kokomi.

"Who's this guy? Is he your cousin?

- I mean technically yeah if you would consider Raiden and Zhongli as siblings and you considered Sara as Raiden's daughter.

- Oh! So you're Zhongli's son?

- Xiao."

He waved before quickly unpausing his show.

Kokomi seemed puzzled, yet decided to not mind it.

"So where are we staying? Your room or here?

- My room is better because eh...you know..."

She nodded and we headed to my room.

"Why the fuck is this guy in your house? Is he homeless?

- No, he just wanted to since he hates his step-dad and his boyfriend is with Raiden and Zhongli.

- Ah. So he IS homeless."

We both laughed loudly.

For some moments, we remained silent. She sighed and lay down on my bed. She turned to the side and saw the stuffed toy she had bought for me. She picked it up while laughing.

"You slept with it? Honestly, I thought you would just display it somewhere.

- I-uh-I mean isn't meant to be slept with? I'm not going to play with it or whatever.

- Well true!"

I threw myself on the bed beside her. Again, that silence. This time it wasn't as awkward as the last. We seemed to speak to each other without speaking.

She sat up again and sighed. It was getting boring quickly, so we decided to go out for a walk in the park. Xiao didn't seem to mind, he didn't even notice.

On the way, we spotted a few people we had never seen before and made quite a few remarks about them. Two boys were leaving the park, one looked tall and strong, the other seemed the opposite.

Two sisters were taking a stroll, one seemed older while the other was young and happy, ranting on and on about someone.

There was a small fountain in the middle of the park where a young purple-haired girl threw some coins.

We waved at her but she looked at us with a confused face before checking a small notebook she brought around.

She seemed even more lost now but waved nonetheless.

"I had a dream last night. Kokomi said.

-Tell me.

-I was working at the café like the usual, you know, the normal things, and you came in. When you came everyone else started disappearing, but I seemed completely unbothered by that. Then, you sat down right next to me and we both started floating? Anyway, at some point, your face disappeared but I was also unbothered as if that was a daily occurrence.

-Woah. Sounds weird.

-Yeah, but honestly, if that happened, I wouldn't mind. Aside from the part where your face disappeared, it's so pretty, it would be such a shame."

I looked at her for a moment silently, feeling my face heat up. I couldn't seem to say anything.

This is such a compliment, and I would love to return it, but I was so nervous I couldn't.

I started muttering something even I couldn't understand before Kokomi placed a small kiss on my cheek, making my face as pink as her hair.
