The four girls all sang to the upbeat music with all the windows down. They all laughed and smiled as the wind whipped threw their hair making it go flying everywhere.
Alyssa and Jackie had never felt more alive then in this moment.
They snacked on chips and talked about random stuff occasionally turning the music up when a song they liked came on.
It was everything for the two girls who had been imprisoned in the asylum for two years.
Once the song had come to an end Jackie opened the map to see where they were.
"Hey, we should stop for the night and get some sleep." Jackie told Alyssa.
"Yeah sure" Alyssa said as she drove a bit further until she saw a small dirt road. She pulled in and drove a little ways in before putting the cat in park and turning it off.
"I really thought you would have crashed by now." Zelda said to Alyssa as she sat back in her seat.
Alyssa simply rolled her eyes at the commet from her aunt.
The two girls were exhausted, it turns out escaping from an insane asylum, getting shot, stealing a car, learning how to drive in 5 seconds, stitching up a wound then driving all day took a lot out of them.
They both organized all there food and water so they could recline their seats backwards.
"We need to find new clothes tomorrow." Alyssa whispered looking at their bloody hospital gowns.
"Yeah" Jackie whispered back.
There was a few minutes of silence before Jackie started talking again
"I'm scared Ally cat" Jackie whispered as she turned to face Alyssa.
"Me too JJ" Alyssa whispered back both using there stupid nicknames for each other.
They had both been through hell and now that they were free to do as they pleased, they didn't know what to do. They had never been free. They always had someone telling them what to do and what not to. Someone was always in control, and now that they finally had control they were scared. Scared to make the wrong decisions, scared of all the unknown possibilities.
But they were also scared that there past would find them again. That they would get locked back up. Be held in that awful place that hurt them more then anyone would ever believe. A place that haunted them in there dreams.
They both didn't deserve to be in that place. They had simply trusted the wrong people with their secrets and they abused that trust.
"I love you Jackie" Alyssa said before turning back around and snuggling into her seat.
