**Current Characters: Ivan, Cassie, Noah, Carie, Taylor, Irina**

**Time: 2 years after the infection spread**

**POV: Ivan**

I sat up hyperventilating as I looked around the darkened room. I checked a Alarm clock we managed to get running

Ivan: "6:43 am.. damn it."

I looked around to notice 2 people gone. Carie and Cassie.

I woke up from a bad nightmare. I have nightmares a lot but never ones like this one.

Ivan: "Might as well get up. go check on those 2"

I got up and felt the cold of the floor. I walked to our Food room and made some Coffee. Thank gods for coffee plants.

Carie: "Mornin Ivan"

Ivan: "Hey"

Cassie: "You good? Your never up this early."

Ivan: "Nightmare, Any of the infected still out?"

Cassie: "Burning up and running away as we speak. They'll probably be gone by noon if you wanna go ransack a subway for some good lunch with Me Taylor Noah and Carie"

Ivan: "I'm down"

Carie: "Yesss. Now go wake up Noah and Taylor we've got chores to do before we can leave."

Ivan: " Yeah yeah ok"

I finished my coffee and tossed the cup into the sink. I walked towards our bedroom and walked inside with 2 pans I found

I started banging the pans together and yelling

Ivan: "RISE AND SHINE BOYS ITS TIME FOR SCHOOL"

Taylor: "IVAN ITS 7 IN THE DAMN MORNING SHUT THE FUCK UP"

Noah got out of bed and flipped me off before walking to the kitchen

Ivan: "Taylor. If you want subway you gotta get up."

Taylor: "Fucking Fine Jesus christ."

Ivan: "that's what I thought. C'mon we have electronics to fix and cures to find"

Taylor: "Yeah Yeah."

I walked out of the room and into the garden area. We found a part of the bunker with a glass ceiling so we've used it like a Garden center filled with food. It'll last us for a bit if we can't get a supply run in. We're getting closer to finding a cure but still far off. Our best crop is a large Apple tree which keeps the Zombies away.

Ivan: "You know I think we should start trying to hold a Infected in the sun once. See what happens ya know?"

Carie: "We'll see. I've got like a list of possible cures but we need some test subjects for it."

I walked into the living room and grabbed the wifi box we were messing with, this place still had full electricity even if the electric places are down. Same with fresh water. Whoever built this place knew this would happen.

I started tinkering with it and plugged it in. The lights flickered on and I checked my phone

Ivan: "And we've got a wifi signal!"

Taylor: "Great Job! Lets get to work on the TV now, all it needs is a new remote programmed into it, can you track down those dvds and that player we got a few months back?"

Ivan: "Yep!"

The perks of this was we robbed houses for the cool stuff. That's how we have most of our things like our coffee maker and all these electronics.

I grabbed the things and went over to Taylor. He had the programming done and the TV hooked up onto a cable channel.

Taylor: "Hey there's a girl on Screen yelling at a reporter?"

Ivan: "Really? Let me see!"

I sat down and was shocked

Ivan: "THAT GIRL IS MY SISTER! TAYLOR IS THIS LIVE OR A RERUN?"

Taylor: "A rerun from about 2 weeks ago why?"

Ivan: "Give me the laptop please."

I grabbed Taylor's laptop and frantically opened the intercoms system we had done In certain places. I hooked up to the one closest to that news station which turns out was in our area and I started speaking.

Ivan: "Hello? Uhm if Irina can hear this... Hey sis! Uhhh shit it's been a while since I've seen you uhm I saw you on a news channel just now I really hope you can hear me. We're coming into town tommorow for a supply run maybe and I hope to see you. I love you.."

I handed back Taylor's laptop and sighed

Ivan: "She probably didn't hear me."

Taylor: "Hey its ok"

Taylor put his arm around me and that familiar warm feeling and the heat on my face came back. I didn't know what was wrong with me. I mean I knew I was Bisexual but I always thought I liked Carie not Taylor. And I've only known him for 2 years anyways.

Ivan: "Thanks. Go tell the girls and Noah we've gotten the TV and wifi set  up please"

Taylor: "OK."

He let go of me and got up and the warm feeling turned cold and my face cooled down. I got on my phone and saw a message on discord.

It was from Irina.

Irina: 'I THOUGHT YOU DIED ASSHOLE'

Ivan: 'WELL I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD.'

I laughed slightly and shut off my phone watching the TV when a live news broadcast came on. It was the familiar face of Kelly Jones the reporter, guess she's still around.

Kelly: "Breaking News! A scientist in Norway has found a cure to zombies! Sadly this cure is hard to come by now. The cure He found was Apples and Coffee. This same scientist is testing with Sunlight as well. We are unaware at this time of if we'll get the cure or not. This is Kelly Jones signing off."

Kelly Ran up to the camera and the last thing I heard from her was the clicking of her high heels.

Carie: "I knew you could do it!"

Ivan: "I have news!! Apples and Coffee are cures to the Infected! A scientist in Norway found out! So is Sunlight!"

Cassie: "I don't believe him, I mean c'mon groceries and things that those things hide from?"

Ivan: "We'll you have a point I suppose. Now who wants to have a movie day?"

We all agreed and I put the lion king in the DVD player.

((Time: 11:30 PM))

Everyone else has fallen Asleep besides Taylor and I, My eyes were struggling to keep watching the movie we had on, I honestly can't remember what it was. I layed back on my spot on the sofa thingie and felt my eyes close.
