"You are going to resign?"

Chaeyoung asked as she helped Haewon in organizing the plates and utensils at the kitchen. Chaeyoung took a day off to help her and Haewon was delighted to show her around shop which wasn't finish yet. "Yeah, I don't think I could manage two things in one time. Besides, father health is improving so he wanted to help me in here."

"Did Jungkook know?"

"Of course he knew, this shop was his idea, after all," she said slowly as she labeled evey clean jar with sticky note and a marker. The workers weren't here today, its was just the both of them in the shop. Chaeyoung who just finished keeping away everything and was about to walk to the compartments spoke, "Maybe I should resign and help you in here too"

"Mrs. Kim won't be that happy you know if the both of us leave the company"

"Speaking about her, did you know Sulhee has been asking about you from her?"

Haewon stop writing, and she looked at her in shock and fear. Chaeyoung who was busy wiping the compartments wasn't looking at her, so she didn't see the woman expression. "She said she bumped into you a few times, with a certain man and Mrs. Kim started to get doubts here and there. Luckily I reminded her that your father in in the hospital so she instantly brush out the topic. Sulhee wasn't the type to pry on others issues, why did she ask for you?"

"I, I might piss of her in some ways. But it's good Mrs. Kim didn't say a thing about that"

Chaeyoung hummed in agreement as she looked back to see her frozen in action as her eyes dropped down to the jar in her hand. Haewon seems to be shocked at her words, but it wasn't something they should be worried of right now. Sulhee won't do any harm in their secrets. "Sulhee isn't the type to hold revenge, Haewon. Don't worry about that"

"Yeah you're right, kind of," she mumbled before snapping off her thoughts and went back to the jar in her hand silently and Chaeyoung continue back with her work. It wasn't that long when they suddenly hear a loud knock on the bakery door, causing them both to be surprised and looked back to each other.

"Are you expecting someone?"

"No? How about you? Did Taehyung said he will come?"

Chaeyoung shook, knowing well Taehyung won't come here because of his morning shift. Haewon put down the jar before stride her steps to the front with Chaeyoung followed her from behind. It was when she get closer enough she finally get to see who was behind the door, her eyes widen and Chaeyoung too saw it.

It was Taehee, and one of the executive of Love Inc., Kim Namjoon. Haewon only saw him on annual dinner with employees at hotel, and that's it. Never did the man had a talk with her for work, and somehow she knew their secret was exposed. Gulping, she opened the door, eyes raked to Taehee who looked deep in her eyes and she knew the woman is mad.

"So he bought you a shop? That's why you can't seem to let him go even after knowing he broke the contract?"

Her words were eerie, but it hit her heart so much that Taehee saw her as that kind of woman which she wasn't expecting her to say that. "And you, Chaeyoung. You know about this all along?"

Her friend head hang low, couldn't even looked at her who was fuming but Mr. Kim was awfully quite, even when Haewon had led them in to the shop he still didn't say anything. Taehee eyes looked around, the bakery was indeed beautiful, only left for some decorations and that's all. It was cozy enough but that wasn't why she was here today. She wanted explanation. And she needed to get them out of this mess.

"Sulhee told me, she saw you with Mr. Jeon a few times in the hospital. That day, she saw you standing in front of someone ward, and she said it wasn't your father name. You know it all along that Jeon Jungkook was sick, why didn't you tell me?"

"I'm sorry"

"Sorry? That's all you have to say? Haewon, it was already hard enough to cover up with your sudden long leave, and I was hoping myself that he will broke the contract. That happen, but you were adamant to stay. Don't you see you are making everything hard? Sulhee knew about you, he told Mr. Kim about it and now look at the mess you did. I never expected you to betray me like this"

She couldn't look into her eyes, the guilt and fear overtook her mind that she was tongue-tied. Chaeyoung notice how quiet she got, and she was worried. Haewon had to took all the blame, and she knew things have gotten harder for her. Stepped up, she spoke to Taehee whose attention went to her, along with the man beside her.

"She never betrayed any of us, Mrs. Kim. She only pitied Jungkook. No, she loved him. What was wrong with that? It was an illegal contract after all, the records won't be in our database and even if Jungkook is sick, he still could pay for her. What Sulhee saw was true, and what you said was true. She is making things hard, but have you considered that things has been harder for her too?"

"She was busy being in love with that man, our client. How things are harder for her?"

"Jungkook is going to leave soon. He's going to be dead," she said which the pair eyes looked at her in suprise. Even Haewon eyes went up to look at her friend who just spoke those words easily.

"He is sick, and I know you are not aware of that. But he's dying, and he's going to leave her. By the time he's gone, the contract will end and things will be back to normal, for us but not her. In any thing, it is her who will have to carry that weight while the two of us will forget about this contract forever. Don't assume things, Mrs. Kim. I wanted to tell you, but what will guarantee that you won't get mad like you are right now? Why are you so mad about it? "

"It's because, Miss Park, it reaches me," the man finally spoke. The three of them looked at him, contrast with Taehee fuming, he was smiling calmly  at her who had been riled up. "Mr. Jeon went against the contract, even if it's illegal at first, but he still was tied to Love Inc. till the day he left us. Mrs. Kim Taehee is only protecting herself, and the both of you too from the consequences which I know you know it as well"

"And fired. That is why she was worried about the contract. Now that I had known about it, it only left me to fire the three of you but I wanted to know the reason from Miss Lee herself, on why she stayed despite knowing Mr. Jeon is leaving her," he said as he turned to Haewon who stared at him dumbfounded. Kim Namjoon wanted her to talk, but she couldn't even utter a word. What will she say? She love him? Chaeyoung had said that. What was left for her to stay?

Just when her mind was raking around, her phone rang and she quickly tuck it out from her pants and answered it. "Hello-"

"Jungkook is unconscious! Come here now!"

Taehyung voice was loud enough that Chaeyoung beside her could heard it. The two of them were shock, but before Chaeyoung could say anything, Haewon had ended the call, dash out from the bakery and ran to hospital next building leaving the three of them shouting for her name.

The fear of not seeing him one last time got her, she was not in the right mind to even bid goodbye to them.

All she wanted to do now was to see Jungkook. Even if it will be her last time.Even when he no longer could look into her eyes with the same spark and pure happiness he always had. Even when he had no more strength hold her so dearly as he inhale the sweet smell of her scalp which he had grown likeness to it.

She just wanted to see him, even if it's already too late.
