Choice

A lot of people can perhaps recall,
The cause as narrated by everyone
Which made the 'ambitious' Icarus fall,
Was him flying close, to the scorching sun.
Forgotten now, yet also a warning
Was the caution to not fly too low lest
The dampness of the sea hinder a wing,
And drown him within a giant wave's crest.

So, what if Icarus never aimed at
The sheer thrill of the offered view and height?
But instead maybe he was afraid that,
He'd become someone who fell down mid-flight.
Well, given a choice before you shatter,
To fall or fly; who won't choose the latter?
