Early one morning in Karasunos gym, Hinata shoyo is practicing his serves. When he starts humming, he hasn't noticed that Ennoshita, Kinoshita and narita had entered the gym and were quietly watching him as he hadn't been himself round them
"Sho really isn't himself and he is refusing to talk to me about it" Enno whispered
"I know he isn't smiling truthfully anymore" whispered Kino
"What do you mean by truthfully smiling" Narita whispered
"Haven't you noticed, he has been faking his smiles" Kino explained
"Not all of them" Enno commented
"No not all of them, but more often than not at the moment he fakes his smile and there is pain in his eyes" Kino says slightly exasperated with Enno
"Eh, how on earth did you notice that, when I only saw it last night" Enno whisper shouted feeling rather confused and upset with himself
"I just did, alright" Kino says
Meanwhile, Shoyo is still practicing while humming, he suddenly starts singing a song the three had never heard
"Black eyes, I don't need 'em
Blue tears, gimme freedom
Black eyes all behind me
Blue tears I'll never find me now..."
Enno-"oh shit, he never sings a sad tune"
Kino- "what do you mean"
Enno- "he expresses his emotions through songs but I've never heard this one"
Narita- "does he write songs too?"
Enno- "he has before but that was to help someone else, let's just listen for now"
"Definitley found my self esteem
Finally I'm forever free to dream"
"No more cryin' in the corner
No excuses, no more bruises"
Enno- "bruises"
"I'd rather die standing
Than live on my knees begging please-no more"
Kino- "no more what"
Shoyo is crying
"Black eyes, I don't need 'em
Blue tears, gimme freedom
Black eyes all behind me
Blue tears I'll never find me now..."
As Shoyo sings Enno runs and hugs him, Kino and Narita walk up to them
Shoyo startles "EEEHH, when did you arrive Chi-nii"
Enno continues to hug him as he replies "a while ago, we were just talking and waiting"
Kino- "just out of curiosity, what was that song just now?"
Shoyo seems shocked "ooh, you all heard it"
Narita- "yeah, we did, it was good, just a little sad"
"um" Shoyo doesn't know what to say
"Please tell me Sho" Enno begs
"......... I wrote it" Shoyo replies hesitantly,
Enno- "why"
"T-t-to help me ask for help...." Shoyo whispers
Enno is rather confused "help with what?"
Just then the gym doors were opened, Shoyo quickly wipes his as the team enters, Sugawara greets them "good morning"
Enno whispers to Shoyo "we will talk later Sho" making sure to stress what he said, shoyo stutters while he whispers back "o-ok"
Shoyo then speaks aloud "hi suga-san"
As the members spot Shoyo
Noya- "SHOYOOOO"
Shoyo- "NOYAAA-SAN"
Tanaka- "HINATA"
Shoyo- "TANAKA-SAN"
Daichi- "Tanaka, Nishinoya shut up, good morning guys"
Tsukishima and Yamaguchi walk into the gym
Yamaguchi- "morning"
Shoyo- "morning Yams and Tsukishima"
Tsukishima- "tsk"
Kageyama- "morning boke, you ready"
Shoyo giggles "baka of course I am, I'm already warmed up"
Coach Ukai comes in and shouts "START PRACTICE BRATS"
the team shouts in agreement to him
