Chapter 5

Once they have collected the boys things, they arrive at Ennos House.

Shoyo tells his Aunt (Ennos mom) about his mom and about how his dad has become  ....... broken should we say, his aunt cleaned and sterilised the wounds on his back and she then went to speak to her brother (shoyos dad)

Enno sighs and starts to speak, " Sho, go and shower and then I'll treat the rest of your bruises. So don't bother trying to hide any of them, got it?"

Shoyo smiles "of course, Chi-nii it would be the opposite of what I'm asking for, if I did, I trust you three with my life"
The three boys smile at that and they all speak at the same time "same for us Shoyo" Shoyo smiles again and goes to shower, when he has finished showering and returns, the true extent of the bruising comes to light.
While Enno is treating the bruises
Kino tries not to show his anger "Shoyo what happened"
Narita calmly asks "how'd you get all those bruises"
Shoyo sighs and points to several of the older ones on his arms "these are from dad grabbing me, while shouting and shaking me" he then points to his face "dad got drunk and punched me" he then points to his stomach "after he threw me down the stairs, before I could move out of the way, he walked over me, although he actually took enough care not to damage any of my joints or muscles"
"I think dad is lost in grief and doesn't know how to handle it, so when I said I'd no longer support him financially, he just lost it"
The boys gasp in shock
Narita- "still thats no excuse"
Kino- "I'm not sure I understand"
Shoyo looks straight into Kinos eyes "yes, you do, its the same as with your mom, what would of happened if she hadn't cut but took a more abusive approach" Kino crys and looks away from them "the only difference being she blamed herself only, my dad blames himself but also me i think"
Enno sighs "ok Sho enough, thats all your bruises treated, now before anymore talking, let's decide on dinner, and you finish dressing"

As Shoyo puts his clothes on he states "I'm cooking" Enno lights up "oh wow, I haven't had your food in a while" Shoyo giggles at that "well, I haven't really felt like cooking lately"
Kino smirks "understandable"
Shoyo starts cooking, while the trio start doing homework, he starts singing as he cooks

Then turn around and spend it foolishly
We've created us a credit card mess
We spend the money that we don't possess
Our religion is to go and blow it all
So it's shopping every Sunday at the mall

The trio stops what they are doing and listen
Enno gasps "wow, I always forget how good at singing you are Sho"
Shoyo blushes and giggles
Kino- "is that a new song, where have I heard it ........." he starts looking through his phone
Narita- "I'm not su------"
Kino cuts narita off in excitement "ooh, here it is" he then plays the song on his phone, for them all to hear
Enno goes wide eyed at what he hears "hang on, that sounds exactly the same as what we just heard"
Narita has the same wide eyed look "wait, wait, wait Hina"
Shoyo blushes "ummm, well when I said I sold songs, I do, its just for most of them, I'm also singing them"
They are all shocked, after a few moments of processing
Kino- "ok then"
Shoyo finishes cooking and serves the food "let's eat"

Once they have all finished eating and cleaned up

Narita- "Hina"
Shoyo- "yeah Nari"
Narita- "ummm, earlier you said you know the whole teams pain, right"
Shoyo- "yeah I do"
Enno- "how may I ask do you know it all"
Shoyo- "because I pay attention"
Kino- "ok, is it how you figured out my pain and asked me about it"
Shoyo shyly looks down "yeah"
Enno- "Kino, is that how you noticed the pain in Shos eyes?" Shoyo whips his head up and looks at Kino "huh, you noticed it" Kino looks down and rubs his neck "yeah, I did, after you kinda kicked my ass for trying to hide my pain even though you could see it and asked me about it, you told me how you'd seen it. So I started to see if I could see it in others, like you do but I've only been able to see Shoyos so far"
Enno eyes Shoyo while saying "alright, I wonder what pain the others are in"
Shoyo sees the look Enno is giving him "NO, NO, NO, stop that look Chi-nii, it ain't happening"
Narita and kino look so confused
"Am I the only one lost here"
"Nope, I am aswell"
Shoyo sighs "Chi-nii wants me to spill the teams pain"
