Letting out a huge sigh right after her butt touched the smooth wooden chair, Yumi relaxed her body still feeling her head was about to explode.
Yumi had talked to her parents the whole night. They were frantically panicking when their maid reported that she didn't come home until eight.
She had to explain why she arrived late and was forced to tell the whole story detail by detail.
"What's your friend's name?"Both of her parents looked at each other and nodded in pleasant.
"Well, I'm glad you made new friends there, sweetie." Feeling a weight lifting off her chest, she smiled and continued telling her week.
After a long hour of talking to her parents. She stood up from her chair and laid down on her bed and stared at her ceiling.
Yumi felt happy that her parents were happy about her studying at Nekoma.
The past few weeks, Yumi felt even more energetic and happy.
Even her parents noticed her smile wider than before. Whenever they talk on the phone, she wouldn't answer it with a grumpy voice but instead with a sing-song tone.
Of course, they are twice as happy as she was. Seeing how happy and content their daughter, it's a parents' dream.
They just wished she could be happy with her parents by her side. After hanging up, Yumi's mother sighed in sadness.
Her husband rubbed his hand on her back trying to console her. "Her happiness is what matters to us. But I just want to feel my daughter's presence."
Yumi's mother could only hear hums in agreement from her husband and didn't say anything anymore.
"Am I selfish? Wanting to have my daughter all to myself? Even when I know she won't be the happiest with me?" Her husband winced, feeling his heart squeezing because of his wife's dilemma.
"No, love. Of course, not. Our daughter is just.. adventurous. She likes being wild and free," Not knowing the right terms to not hurt both of the most important women of his life. "I'll try and persuade her more."
They spent the whole breakfast crying in each other's arms and eventually going back to their work.
Yumi checked her phone to see if there were any new messages from her friends.
Seeing that their group chat was online, she clicked on it and was bombarded by Shin asking for their homework.
She laughed and took a picture of her notebook where her homework was located. Seeing Shin spamming her with 'thank you's and other nonsensical things, she turned off her phone and placed it on her nightstand.
It didn't take her long to end up in dreamland snuggling a stuffed toy.
"YES! AND HE was all serious and concentrated when the ball was about to land on him." Miriko cackled at Inuoka who was just laughing along.
Although she still felt her spine tingle at Inuoka's heavy aura at the time.
Miriko joked about Inuoka being deadly serious in games but deep down inside, she knew how shocked and how she admired his concentration on the game.
