Parth asked Vidushi to marry him! And surprise, surprise she said yes!
And I know he isn't telling us a fake story because we were there as witnesses when he popped the question and Vidushi nodded in affirmative with tears in her eyes. After this, she came and hugged her girlfriends and I saw Sanyukta being really, really happy for her. She even had tears in her eyes. They really are good friends.
I was happy for Parth too. He deserved this. He has always been a good friend and he deserved all happiness in the world as did all the other ones in this group. For a brief moment, I and Sanyukta had an eye contact and she smiled at me with sparkle in her eyes. This brought a smile on my face too. I love seeing her happy and smiling. Don't tell her but sometimes I notice her dancing in her room too on random songs. She thinks I don't see her now, but well... old habits die hard, don't they?!
We decided to celebrate today by going to a pub. All six of us. Oh by the way, I forgot to tell you! Now I have my own bike. Its named Raveena... yeah, I know not the name you were expecting.
Sanyukta sat behind me on my bike as I ignited the engine. She held on to me tightly and I looked at her from my rear view mirror. God, how much I love her!
"Will you keep looking at me or drive too?"
"Yeah, sorry!" I followed the other four who drove away in Aryans car.
We entered the club and just like other ones, loud music was playing with a lot of bodies pressed against each other dancing. There was alcohol smell in the air and it took me a moment to adjust there. Vidushi and Parth went to the dance floor. I looked at them dancing and slyly looked at Sanyukta calculating how many chances I had of being rejected if I ask her for a dance. She smiled at me when she saw me looking at her and held out her hand. Taking the chance, I led her to the dance floor and we started dancing. I mean she danced while I looked at her with pure admiration on my face. She was so pretty!
A slow romantic song started playing and I pulled her closer to me. She started swaying with the beat and looked at me with a smile. That is when something or rather someone caught my eye and my expression changed.
"What happened?" Sanyukta looked concerned and tried to turn her head. I jerked her head towards me with more force than I intended to.
"Oh its nothing. Leave it."
"Randhir... tell me!" She looked at me with the look I know very well about. The look that says spit the truth right now.
"Its uhh... its Priya. Why the hell does she have to be here every time we go out somewhere. Last time she ruined Parth's birthday and this time his engagement. We can go out if you want and let others have some fun. Maybe she hasn't noticed you yet." I said making a feeble attempt to make Sanyukta move.
"Ohhh... so we meet again!" Priya chirped in her annoying squeaky voice.
Damn, it was too late!
Others also joined us. Sanyukta turned to face Priya.
"How are you my dear Sanyukta? Still a loner? Ohh your babysitters are here too. Wow, you are still in a relationship with this loser? Seriously dude, what do you see in her? Or are you just in for sex?" I looked at Sanyukta and I tried to stop her but she had reached Priya in a matter of seconds.
She raised her hand to hit her and Priya flinched but instead she just tuck a piece of her hair behind her ear. "You won't ever change, will you?" she gave her a very sweet and very fake smile and turned towards us. "Let's go and do something better than staying here and listening to her meaningless yapper."
