chapter four

"Bonnie you going to tell me what you seen?"Caroline asked. "I can't..I need to figure out if it really happened first."Bonnie spoke.

"I'm going to go talk to Damon.."Bonnie said suddenly making Caroline jump up. "Your going to what? Bonnie are you crazy? Isn't Damon the one your supposed to be aware of?"Caroline asked.

"No Caroline the one I need to be aware of is Stefan."Bonnie said as she grabbed her things. "I be back okay?"She told her best friend and Caroline nodded. "Alright be safe"She said.

Bonnie made her way to the Salvatore manor. And knocked on the front door. But when she didn't get an answer she started to turn her back as she heard the door open slightly.

She raised her eyebrow in confusion as she pushed the door open. "Hello?"She said out loud but didn't get no answer.

She started to walk around the house. And found herself upstairs in Stefan's room. As she went through his things, she paused when she found a picture.

"What the hell.."She whispered as she held up the picture of the unknown woman. The woman was a spitting image of her.

"What are you doing in here?"Bonnie heard making her jump in fear. She turned around and saw Damon staring at her.

"You scared me.."She said lowly as she stared at him. "Why are you here?"He asked. "I came to talk to you about something.."She said softly.

"And why can't you talk to Stefan?"He asked and she looked down at her feet to avoid looking at him. "Damon please..just this once help me alright? Then I'll leave you alone."She said and he sighed.

"Fine. I'll help. But you owe me."He said and Bonnie smiled. "Alright"She said as she followed behind Damon still holding the picture of the woman in her hand.

They sat in front of each other as Bonnie was trying to find the courage to speak. Then suddenly she did. "Who is this?"She asked holding up the picture of the woman making Damon stiffen.

"And why does she look exactly like me?"Bonnie asked.

"If I tell you who she is and who she was to me..it will only leave you confused."Damon said and Bonnie rolled her eyes.

"Just tell me who she is Damon."Bonnie said.

"Beatrice Bennett. She was a slave back in 1864. I can't explain why she looks exactly like you. I been trying to figure it out myself. Trust me."He explained.

"I think me, you and Stefan..and weirdly enough that woman in that picture is connected in a way. I know it sounds crazy. But months before I even met you guys. You and Stefan haunted my dreams. I knew your faces and names. That's why when I met you I was so shaken. But when I dreamed of you guys. I was never myself. I was always Beatrice. Never me"I explained and Damon stared at me.

"But I'm not here cause of that..I'm here because I saw something earlier when I kissed Stefan. He killed her didn't he?"Bonnie asked.

"Maybe you should go."Damon said suddenly. "Damon you said you were going to help me."Bonnie said frowning.

"Stefan is not bad. You have to understand that"Damon said simply. "God..he did kill her."Bonnie said as she felt her heart start to break.

"He wasn't himself."Damon said and Bonnie scoffed. "Yes. Says any psycho killer."She said shaking her head.

"Bonnie listen to me.."Damon started to say as he grabbed her waist bringing her body to his.

"Me and Stefan are not humans. We're vampires."Damon said and she stared at him.

"No..it can't be."She said shaking her head. "Vampires aren't real. Your lying"She said.

"Really?"Damon said as veins started to appear in his face. "W-What's wrong with your face.."Bonnie said suddenly. Then his face went back to normal.

"You know humans who can do that?"He asked and Bonnie stood there frozen. "I shouldn't have came.."She said as she went to walk away but then suddenly Damon appeared in front of her.

"H-How did you do that?"She asked. "Bonnie we still have to talk."He said and she shook her head. "Damon I made a mistake coming here okay.."Bonnie said but then Damon suddenly grabbed her arm pulling her back.

"Bonnie don't be afraid I'm not going to hurt you."He said "Damon stay back!"She yelled as she ran off. As Bonnie was running she felt herself run into someone. She looked up and jumped back when she saw who it was.

"Bonnie..we need to talk."Stefan said and she shook her head. "No Stefan! From now on, you and your brother are going to stay far from me and my friends"Bonnie said sternly.

"What did Damon tell you?"He asked. "Stefan..your a vampire"Bonnie said making Stefan freeze. "How do you know?"He asked.

"I have to go.."Bonnie said walking past him, only for him to appear in front of her. "Bonnie you have to know I will never hurt you!"Stefan said grabbing her. "You killed a girl Stefan!"Bonnie yelled.

"What girl Bonnie? What did you see?"He asked. "Beatrice Stefan..you killed her. And then Damon found you."She said and Stefan's eyes widened. "How do you know that?"He asked. "I have to go..I'm sorry"Bonnie said running off.

Then she made it to her house. "Caroline!"She yelled as she made it up her stairs. She opened the door and screamed when she saw her best friend in a pool of her own bed.

"Caroline! Oh god!"Bonnie screamed as she ran to her best friend. "I'm so sorry! I got you into all this. I'm sorry. Please don't die. Please I'm sorry!"Bonnie cried out as she held her best friend.

"Help! Someone please help me!"Bonnie screamed in horror.

And just like that everything changed in Bonnie's life. Her best friend laid lifeless in her arms as she cried. Her world was surrounded by death now. And somehow she was connected to all this.
