The next day Draco couldn't shake the image of the girls face from his dreams or from his mind. Her eyes haunted him, swimming before him like visions. Finally, in the middle of class, Draco excused himself and headed towards the bathroom. It irritated him to no end that one look at the girl in the mirror could torment him so, but he was immune to being able to resist it. He barged into the boys restroom on the third floor, beelining straight for a stall and locking himself in.
This is fucking stupid, Draco thought to himself even as he pulled the mirror out of his pocket. Why do you even give a damn?
Despite everything, it appeared he did because he stared into the mirror, willing the image of the girl to shimmer and appear again. For the longest time, nothing happened. All that stared back at him was his own reflection, no matter how hard he willed it to change. With a growl, Draco was about to shove it back into his pocket when the image shifted. Draco watched with bated breath as the ripples rolled through.
He expected her face to reappear, for her eyes to lock onto his like they had the moment before.
He wasn't expected to see her splayed out on a bed, naked.
"What the -" he dropped the mirror in surprise, the small reflective device sliding out of his stall and underneath the one next to his. Draco slammed open the door to his, bursting into the next one only to find it occupied.
"Bloody hell - do you mind?" Riddle sat on the loo, lit cigarette in his mouth, glaring up angrily at Draco. For a moment, Malfoy couldn't do anything but stare back before stammering an apology and snatching his mirror up off of the ground. Riddle followed him out of the stall, cigarette still lit in his mouth.
"What did you see?"
"Nothing," Draco barked, turning his back protectively to his old friend as he stared down at the mirror, willing the girl to reappear again. Had he really just seen what he thought he'd seen?
"Had to have seen something or you wouldn't have thrown the damn thing," Riddle argued reasonably, cocking a brow at Malfoy's back. "What was it?"
"None of your fucking business!" Malfoy spun around, glaring furiously at Matteo. "Why the hell aren't you in class?"
"Smoke break," Riddle puffed his cigarette as if that should be obvious, his eyes dropping down to the mirror Draco guarded closely against his chest. "Was your girl fucking someone else too?"
"Wh - no, of course not," Malfoy seethed, snatching up his bag and jogging towards the door. "Shove out, Riddle!"
He didn't wait to hear Matteo's response; he barely acknowledged any of the students shuffling down the crowded corridor as he beelined straight for the Slytherin common room. His heart was still hammering, his mind still completely blown by what had happened. Her eyes were closed - how he had managed to catch that detail with her entire body on display he didn't know, but he was certain of that. She was asleep.
How could she be looking in the mirror if she was asleep?
Draco shoved aside the growing feelings of creepiness as he stormed into the common room and barged into his dorm room. He locked his door, warding it with silencing charms as he shoved his dresser in front of the door in case any of his friends decided to follow him in. Draco threw himself down on the bed, pulling out his mirror and staring into it deeply. It took a few minutes - long enough that he thought it wasn't going to work - but eventually the image started to ripple again.
She hadn't moved - she was in the same place she had been minutes before. One of her legs was thrown over a pillow, her perfect ass propped up into the air. The sight of her like that made him go speechless, her mussy, curled hair splayed out on the pillows. The oxygen was gone from his lungs - he couldn't form a fucking word - and then suddenly she moved. Her back arched, mouth forming a perfect O.
