The rays of sunlight that escaped into the room through the white lace curtains caused Eunjung to sleepily open her eyes. She smiled at who laid next to her, snuggled against her chest with one arm wrapped around her. It was her boyfriend, Doyoung. They were both college students in Korea and currently lived together in an apartment in Seoul.
Eunjung gazed at Doy's gentle features and wondered to herself "What did I do to deserve such a wonderful man as him?" She planted a soft kiss against his forehead, accidentally causing him to stir and slowly open his eyes. He smiled sleepily.
"Eun-ah? You're up?"
"Yes, I woke up just in time to watch you sleeping peacefully. You are so pretty when you sleep, did you know that?"
Doyoung gazed lovingly at Eunjung. "Not as beautiful as you every time I see your face.".
He stroked her cheek and tucked stray strands of hair behind her ear. Doyoung leaned in and kissed her gently on the lips. Eunjung giggled and grasped his hand.
"Doy, we have to go to campus now. Let's get up."
Doyoung groaned, "Nooo, I want to lay here with you for 5 more minutes."
"We're going to be late!"
Doyoung shook his head, "We won't. I'll make sure we get there in time, Eun-ah." Eunjung sighed and gave in.
"Ok. 5 more minutes, Doy." She pulled the covers back up over them and snuggled back into Doyoung's warm embrace.

A half hour later, Doyoung and Eunjung were fast-walking through the campus on the breezy autumn day, with Eunjung pulling Doyoung's hand, urging him to hurry on to avoid being late for class. Taeyong, Doyoung's best friend, was waiting for them at the entrance of the classroom.
"Lovebirds, what took so long? Busy with each other in the morning?", he smirked with a mischievous glimmer in his eyes. Eunjung blushed and retorted,
"No! We just got up late, and we'll be even more late to class if we don't go in right now."
Doyoung laughed and pulled them both inside the classroom, all three taking seats in the back just in time before the professor started taking attendance. Eunjung breathed out a sigh of relief and glanced at Doyoung, who smiled at her, his eyes saying See, I told you we would make it on time. As the class progressed, Eunjung got bored and droned out the professor's monotonous voice while doodling in her notebook, drawing her and Doyoung with hearts around them. Doyoung looked over at the paper and chuckled softly under his breath and wrote something down in his notebook, pushing it towards her. He had written,
Want to make the drawing a reality? Cafe date after school?
Eunjung's eyes lit up with excitement and wrote,
Yes! We need to celebrate the 3rd month of our relationship!
Doyoung nodded affirmatively and threaded his fingers with hers. Taeyong, to the right of Doyoung, sighed at them being so lovey-dovey, muttering something about being a third-wheel and too single under his breath.
The rest of the day passed by, with Doyoung and Eunjung having to part ways to go to their separate classes. Doyoung was a music major, while Eunjung was a marketing major with a minor in fine arts. Seoyeon, Eunjung's best friend since the beginning of high school, was fortunately in the majority of Eunjung's remaining classes, and happily chattered with Eunjung about various topics, most involving how she wanted a girlfriend (she was lesbian) and the new friends she had made recently. Eunjung didn't mind, she was an introvert who didn't like to talk a lot while Seoyeon was an extrovert and participated in most of the conversation.
At the end of class, they said their goodbyes and Eunjung happily skipped to the place where she and Doyoung frequently met up: the tall oak tree at the front of the school. Her boyfriend was already there, and looked up as Eunjung made her way to him, his face instantly brightening as he met her eyes.
"Ready to go, my love?" Eunjung nodded and reached for his hand.
"Let's go Doy, I'm hungry."
By the time they reached the cafe, the sun was beginning to set. They sat down at a table for two, sitting across each other while holding hands. The couple began to chat while sharing a slice of cake and sipping mocha lattes, which they both loved to drink. Eunjung looked out the window at the vibrant shades of pink and purple spreading throughout the sky and sighed happily.
"I love watching sunsets, they help me calm down. And they are so pretty."
She glanced over at Doyoung, catching him gazing at her instead of the sky.
"It reminds me of the day we first met 3 months ago. A day I'll never forget."
