Eunjung woke up to the smell of fresh steamed rice and hangover soup, mixed in with a musky, amber scent of a perfume. Eunjung's stomach grumbled as she thought,
Is someone making breakfast in the dorm?
The scents were soon followed by a humming voice belonging to a boy.
Eunjung's eyes snapped open.
Who is that? Where the fuck am I?
She looked around at the room and soon got hit with a painful headache.
Wait, why am I in a boy's bed? Did I actually make a mistake last night... oh shit..!"
Eunjung looked down to check if she was still wearing her clothes; fortunately, everything was in place, and she let out a sigh of relief. She noticed a piece of paper that said "Eunjung" in neat, bold letters on the table next to her. It read:
Eunjung
Don't be scared! Nothing like what you are probably thinking of happened last night. I don't know if you remember, but my name is Doyoung. I'm a sophomore at your university, we met at the secret spot in the pond last night. You drank a lot and fell asleep while we were talking, so I asked for your permission and carried you back to my apartment because I didn't know where you lived / I can't enter the female dorms. I couldn't just leave you there in the cold :) Don't worry, I slept on the couch while you slept on the bed. Come out and eat breakfast when you are awake.

Memories of last night flooded into her mind, particularly those of when she told him almost everything about what happened to her and the situation she is in now. Eunjung face palmed herself, cheeks flushing red with embarrassment as she remembered her rambling and crying messily in front of the boy.
Why did I go and tell him everything? I'm so stupid, how can I even face him now, ugh! Choi Eunjung, you really mess up when you are drunk!"
However, the alluring smell of the food encouraged her to slowly step out of bed and wander into the kitchen after frantically fixing her hair and clothes. At the counter with a saucepan in his hand stood the boy she now recognized as Doyoung, with messy morning hair, glasses, and a gray sweatshirt with plaid pants. Eunjung blushed,
I barely saw him in the dark last night and thought he was handsome, he's a 100x more handsome in the daylight.. Omg...
The sound of her foot knocking against the floor caused Doyoung to raise his head up in her direction. He smiled teasingly at her pink face, thinking she was embarrassed.
"Good morning! I take it that you found my note, I hope you weren't too surprised waking up in someone else's bed."
Eunjung, now also embarrassed, looked at the ground and stuttered,
"S-sorry, I shouldn't have drank so much..."
Doyoung shook his head.
"No, it's alright, you looked like you needed to let everything out, what better way to do that then by drinking and venting. Here, sit down, I made hangover soup and rice. It'll help with the headache, which I'm sure you have judging by how many soju bottles you drank last night", he smirked.
"Oh, no, I don't want to bother you anymore-"
"I won't take no for an answer. How about this, next time you have to treat me for a meal. You kind of owe me now anyways," he jokingly teased.
Eunjung sighed and rubbed her head. This boy is so stubborn. On a normal occasion I would politely reject his offer, but he kind of trapped me here. Oh well, he is right. I do owe him for letting me stay the night and for carrying me back in my drunken state.
"Ok... but I definitely will treat you to more than one meal."
Doyoung grinned in satisfaction and they both sat down at the table. "Thank you, Doyoung-nim, for the food, I'll eat well!"
"You can drop the formalities with me, just call me Doyoung."
Eunjung hesitated before nodding, knowing that she probably will lose the fight if she tried to negotiate. The hangover soup actually did help a lot with the headache, the warm liquid clearing up the pain and filling her stomach.
"Wow, the soup really helped!"
Doyoung smiled back at her, "I told you it would."
Eunjung suddenly remembered something important.
"Wait, a-about last night..."
"Don't worry, my lips are sealed, I swear."
Eunjung eyed him suspiciously.
"Hey, I also told you my personal stories, you also have to keep quiet about it! Let's make a deal: I won't tell anybody if you don't."
"Ok, deal. If I see you breaking it, you're dead."
Doyoung laughed, "Yes, ma'am."
After the meal, Eunjung helped clean up and went back to Doyoung's room and picked up her bag. She noticed her phone lighting up and cursed under her breath as she noticed the hundreds of text messages and missed calls flashing on the screen. Seoyeon. Her best friend was also her roommate, and was also probably freaked out and worried out of her mind at where the heck Eunjung was last night. Eunjung confirmed her prediction as she scrolled through the texts and texted back:
Calm down, I'm perfectly fine! I'll explain to you where I was when I get back, for now, stop worrying about me. See u soon.
Eunjung tossed the phone in her bag and turned towards the door, but suddenly hit something hard. She looked up and realized, in embarrassment, that she had bumped right into Doyoung's chest. Doyoung looked down at her, eyes lit up with amusement.
"Whoa, slow down! Where are you running off to so quickly?"
"O-oh sorry, I-I didn't mean to run into you... I was going to head back to the dorm, my roommate is waiting for me..."
"Maybe you should detach yourself from me first, Eunjung-ah", Doyoung smirked.
Eunjung realized she was still in the same position against Doyoung's body, and stepped away quickly, flustered.
"W-well, thank you for everything, I'll get going. A-and remember, don't tell anyone anything about last night", she stuttered, barely managing to squeak out the latter part of the sentence, and pushed past him into the hallway. She heard Doyoung's soft laughs echo through the apartment as she stepped outside.
Omg, that was so embarrassing, get a grip on yourself Choi Eunjung!
